How about Adelitas in T.J. MEX, or is that a little too much like Louisville recruiting tactics.

Most basketball players look funny throwing a baseball.

Based off of the highlight vids of this kid ... god I hope we get him. Quick, tough and aggressive, good footwork, dunks everything around the rim and is now 6'9+. Still growing so pretty skinny, but looks pretty solid ... and really quick for a legit PF.

Wonder how he fits either with or without Nathan Mensah. Seems like we have two legit post prospects with he and Forbes, with Joel already in the fold.

Different player than Nathan Mensah who is taller and stronger and plays the 5. Forbes is built like McD and attacks the rim with help from a good PG.

Gundo...has Forbes said when he will make his announcement of whatever school he chooses? Also, anything new with Nathan?

Plans to decide after and sign during early signing period. linkWith Cal getting a commit from Kelly this weekend (& Gordon prior) I wonder if Cal remains on his list & gets a visit? If he goes to Princeton/Harvard I get that. Can't compete with those educations & both have very good programs & he can get good PT. I think Cal falls back with Kelly, so IMO it looks like us & SMC. My question is whether Forbes is a priority recruit? I think Mensah is #1 on our board, so the question is whether we sign the 4 (w/ Mensah) OR hold 1 for the spring/transfer? I'd lean towards the latter unless a) we anticipate roster turnover & need 5 spots; or it's b) Timmy Allen, BPJ or Majak seeking that final spot. I doubt any of those are 3 are realistic, so IMO it's Forbes vs. holding for a transfer? BTW, do we have confirmation that Campbell will be enrolling in January, thus taking away any chance at a mid-year transfer? I sure hope not.

Forbes was with the new SDSU Ambassador Jordan Schakel and new comer Matt Mitchell, both guys made him feel welcome, as did the entire university. His sister Mackenzie (16 mos apart) is being recruited by CAL and they are from No CAL, plus family is huge for him. But the entire Forbes family was pleased with this weekends trip to San Diego. There's chatter around Nathan, BUT nothing that I can say given his departure from Prolific Prep. Nothing official to report. Both guys would be a boost for the program. Both have high work ethics, dedication and good GPAs.

Waiting on a couple of things regarding SDSU recruitment of others... or so has been said by family.

But would still like to have both Mensah's and Forbes as front court players given the lack of depth we have now with the loss of Zylan and graduation of Izundo and Rooks/Pope in a year from now.

Assuming Mensah signs, next year we'll have Nolan, Mensah's x 2, Max & McD, and 4 of those 5 back the year after. We'd have replaced 2 (Rooks/Pope) with 2 (Mensah's). We're fine if we only sign those 2 and add another in the '19 class. I'd rather see us hold for a transfer or a superstar. I'm not convinced Forbes is a superstar (I am with Allen). I wouldn't be disappointed if we sign both Mensah & Forbes, but IMO flexibility is important more & more these days & having an open scholarship can pay off big time. Plus, if SDSU actually wanted both you'd think Forbes would have already committed.

I'd fill that last spot with Allen, but with having so many bigs signed (what a nice problem to have), it seems like holding that last spot over signing Forbes may be the better option.
