I think we are #1. Problem is that we don't have anymore schollies for next year.

He's the real deal, if we could somehow land him it would be a MASSIVE get. He's not as versatile as Shepard, but I really do think he could have a similar impact. He's got a ton of talent.

I think we’ll see January in an Aztec uniform next year.

As much as I'd love to have him, there are a couple reasons we may want to think twice about this.
1 - January seems more like a guy that needs to have the ball in his hands to help the team, whereas Shepard does all the other stuff. I just don't see him contributing all that more than a guy like Shrigley.
2 - As long as Jamaal is in this team, he is going to be our go-to. Even with all the depth coming in I dont see this changing. Shrigley, Polee, Jamaal etc... Are all the same type of player as January. How many touches are going to be available for all these guys.
3 - as much as this board hates on AW and LBF, do we really want to mess with chemistry? I don't see either player wanting to transfer out (I'd sacrifice playing time for another postseason run too)

Fisher gave him the dreaded "vote of confidence" in an article a couple days ago, so he's probably done.

Just to stay in code I will use the initials; Why the hell would "AW" transfer of leave the program for his senior year? LBF plays in all games so why the hell would they ask him to leave? You stay classy San Diego...State.

I'm not going to bash Shrigley cause he is solid but I will just say January is the more explosive athlete, has a much better mid range game, and is a better defender.

Maybe so, but the difference is soooooo small. They are both 4 stars for a reason. I don't think you give Shrigley enough credit for his quickness. He is deceptive.

But most players arent a one and done. January will get his chance to be the man, whocares if its not next year.

You stay classy San Diego...State. LBF isn't seeing the floor except for scrub time next year. Same for AW. I don't see Fish asking them to leave, it's probably their own decision. Be part of an elite team with no playing time or start at a lesser school. There are pros and cons to each. --Sent from my HTC Evo--

Just to stay in code I will use the initials; Why the hell would "AW" transfer of leave the program for his senior year? Because it is highly unlikely he plays at all next year. Most player would rather play than sit on the bench. This is the reason why so many basketball players transfer. Happens all the time. This would not be unusual or unique to SDSU.

I can see him playing some (not a ton... but some) meaningful minutes as our most reliable backup PG (WS is more talented but is as of yet unproven). As long as LBF keeps progressing, then he would be the "safe" option as backup at times.

He needs to make better decisions when he has the ball........i.e. assists vs turnovers. Good PGs understand this.
