with 11-13 players, and many guys beinng able to play multiple positions, every returning player will play less then they did this year with 7-9 players. X would be major player at PG , but you could have Tapley, Shepard, even Rahon give you a few minutes or LBF . Tapley , Shepard,Rahon, Jamaal,Shrigley,X could also play SG . Is AJ a guy that can play multiple positions also. Crazy to think that 3 of the top 8 recruits nationally still have not decided where to go. UNLV still has hopes to sign one of them.

I am going to go out on a limb, January will be an Aztec next season! He has stated that SDSU is his dream school; furthermore, his father was quoted as saying that AJ could easily play with Shepard. You have to ask yourself why his father would say that? His father said that because AJ really wants to play at SDSU if given the choice. I think that the Aztecs have told AJ to hold on and that an offer will me forth coming after the season. I think the two most improved players on SDSU are Frankline and Stephens. Stephens will be the one who loses out on playing time next year given the abundance of bigs coming in; therefore, it would benefit him to red shirt next year or possibly transfer as well, along with AW. LB would be a nice insurance policy to have on the bench in case of a PG injury, but it does make sense for LB to consider transferring because he would have two years left after he sits out a year vice one year in AW's case. My prediction: Stephens and AW [may have scholie pulled] transfer and Pelle and AJ join the classe of 2012.

I feel like I have a pretty good finger on the pulse of this whole situation, and there's no way we can be sure he's coming here. He has options, and right now we don't. He's getting more and more interest from more and more programs the longer this lingers, and that's nothing good for us. For those saying we might not need him or that he's too similar to other players on this team right now, no. Shrigley's game is mid range, occasionally slashing, and he can shoot the three, he'll be a perimeter player that can occasionally play with his back to the basket from 10-15 feet and hit the turnaround jumper. Jamaal can shoot the three and get to the rack and draw fouls, while his mid range game is by the far the weakest part of his game. Polee is working on the jump shot, but for now is a slasher and will be great in transition, lots of speed and athleticism, can jump out of the gym. January is unique in that, although he does have a developing perimeter game, he's a big time rebounder and plays extremely well within 10 feet of the rim. Crafty inside moves, really strong finisher and dunker. He'd be a great addition, would gobble up rebounds and is a long, lean, athletic defender. I just think he's different than what we have, AND, Fish has always loved long, lean versatile athletes that can guard 1-4, rebound, run, and play around the rim.

Add to that that his decision-making has improved drastically over the past year. January seems intent on going to a Mountain West school, though, so we certainly have a chance.

You think the Pac-12 schools have a shot coming in so late? Better shot than UNM yes, UNLV and SDSU both maynot have schollys for him. I bet if he doesn't end up at UNLV or SDSU he ends up in the PAC 12

His improvement from the start of the year to now is phenomenal. With another off season to work out in the weight room and on individual basketball skills, this kid is going to blow up. His size and wing span are impressive and the skills are quickly catching up as well.

Of course Fish would not want Stephens to transfer out, I dont want Stephens to transfer out. My point is Stephens has the most to lose [with one year left] with all the new bigs coming in, and more then any other Aztec, it would be to Stephens benefit to transfer. It is to the Aztecs benefit if AW transfers, not necessarily AW's benefit.

Shrigley is a 1-3, Winston will play 1-4, Polee the same. Deshawn will be the 5 I bet with Spencer and probably Obrien seeing some time there. That's all we have to play the 5. I'm not missing anyone right?

Id think he would benefit from another year since he is still learning the game.
