As compared to this year, next year's team will be hard for players to get minutes. We know that Chase and Jamaal will get theirs. We will go back to a 2 guard team. With X, Rahon, Chase and Jamaal, how many minutes will be available for LaBradford? Shepard may get some other those minutes also. We are playing 4 guards most of the time now, and he does not get PT. It should be his choice, but what is best for him? Hey, if he wants to be a back-up. or thinks his game will improve next year, then great! I think Fisher will be part of the decision and will want the best outcome. I truly think he cares about his players and will shape the best outcome. I don't understand all this talk about forcing LBF out. "If he wants to be a back-up"? He is THE back-up, this year and next year. Why would you want to get rid of your only other true PG? What if X goes down? You really want Tapley running the point? You forget NONE of the high profile recruits and transfers are PGs. Because everyone thinks Shep is going to run the 1, when he's really just going to do what Leonard did - bring the ball up and/or initiate offense sometimes as a 3 with 2 guards on the court(Lorenzo did this too, Jalen Rosedid this, that's how Jackson used Pippen, etc). LBF would be the last guy they'd run off in my opinion.

I'm guessing it's a typo or misinfo but Norvel Pelle was just listed today as "Committed to SDSU" on verbalcommits.com. I don't see it anywhere else including Norvel's tweets, but the other names on the list did commit this week. Hmmmmm???

Do any of you know the real reasons why some good players from big programs transferred to SDSU? I was just wondering if their situation is similar to what could happen to AW next season. Polee transferred from St. Johns to be closer to his Mother who was having medcal issues James Johnson transferred from Virginia because he didn't fit into the Offense they ran their JJ transferred from Utah because of coaching changes not really similar to AW situation I appreciate the response but I'm aware of these transfers' situations. I was more curious about other transfers since Fisher's second year because we've had many of them. I thought perhaps 1 or 2 of our transfers had similar circumstance to what could possibly happen to AW.

Although this class is by most accounts on paper, the best recruiting class for SDSU in any sport it will not equal the Fab 5. Fisher's Fab Five featured 3 top ten recruits along with the #11 & #46 players in the nation. (Weber #1, Howard #4, Rose #9, King #11 and Jackson #46)
This class is good, but another Fab Five? Sorry, but going by the ratings it is not even close.
Put down the hyperbole flavored Kool Aid and enjoy the next few years. The program is humming along like a finely tuned muscle car and could challenge for a final four birth very soon. Success brings more success and as long as the NCAA doesn't rain on the parade we might actually have a future recruiting class that can be compared to the "Fab 5" in the next few years.

They were actually #1, #3, #6, #9 and #84 but the comparison of the impact on their respective programs still stands. If this class of five were to come to fruition the Fab 5 comparisons will be coming from more than those that post on this board...

Just read this whole thread... Gonna try to sum up my thoughts.
In general, bigger, more athletic guys aren't as good at shooting the deep ball, but are MUCH better defenders. Fisher's teams have always been about defense first. So those are the recruits he goes after. I'd say it has paid off.
I've too heard O'Brien has been the best player in practice this year. Furthermore, that it's not even close. He has been killing it.
Dunksalot - I am sure part of the reason AztecTom got heated so quick was because your post first asked for premium content, then followed it up with false facts. Hell, I got mad just from the request of a copy-paste.
If either AW or LBF transfer, you know other teams will use that against us in recruiting. Even if both left for more playing time on their own.
Fab Five? I doubt it. But we do have the benefit of 4 VERY GOOD guards coming back, something that the Fab Five did not have. On top of that, we have our best recruiting class ever.
