Tim Island? Sounds about right. I have a hard time believing that Fish would just straight up push a kid out that he recruted here, but I certainly see him being straight up and honest about a kid's role on the team. A former player for Fisher at SDSU was not asked to leave, but Jeff Berokoff, who I played with in High School told me he left because Fisher told him his scholarships stands and that he would keep that commitment to him. But that he would get next to nothing in terms of time on the floor, thus he transferred to Biola.

Two totally different situations. not totally - in most D1 programs there is annual flux in the roster - players come and go for various reasons - for the most part, the Aztecs have benefited except for the KY burn. It's Fish's job to gather as many good players as possible and he can do this while maintaining his personal integrity by being openly honest. If a player is competitive, know he's been beat out and won't get minutes why would he stay?

Might be old news but I saw where New Mexico is now recruiting him and that he's Tony Snell's cousin.

Well, hypothetically, if somebody was at a school he liked on a BB scholarship and that person knew he wasn't going to play at the next level, and that person saw his scholarship as a way to earn a free education at a place he enjoys, why would he leave? Especially if BB isn't his top priority in life and he still gets all the benefits of being on a great team.
