The notion of playing in the Big West makes me sick. I have been to multiple games at CSUF, having lived there for close to a decade and the place is a high school atmosphere. They occasionally get a decent crowd when they play Long Beach State (their rival), but overall......not very good. Big West has some damn good baseball, but who really cares about that? Nobody. Non-rev sport. Not much attention. And I'm sure we will all just LOVE the Big West after we tear through that league and then play the conference tournament and get upset in the final by LBSU or somebody. Hello NIT. Big West sucks, has crappy gyms, and is a one bid league to the NCAAs. then it would be just like the year in the mwc we got left out with an rpi in 30s |

we should now be able to get big east schools to come to Viejas to help make up for it. A UConn fan and a Louisville fan said on the Big East board they fully expected our membership for football only to result in getting BE basketball teams to play us OOC to help defray the diminution in our intraconference schedule. I'll let the detractors go ahead and trash those guys for so stating. |

we should now be able to get big east schools to come to Viejas to help make up for it. A UConn fan and a Louisville fan said on the Big East board they fully expected our membership for football only to result in getting BE basketball teams to play us OOC to help defray the diminution in our intraconference schedule. I'll let the detractors go ahead and trash those guys for so stating. None of them have bothered to address that we have had over a dozen 150+ Rpi teams on our schedule every year and still pull out a good schedule. The schedule will look exactly the same or get better |

You should have included a pic of Peterson Gym just for grins & giggles. Just for you, the capacity of Peterson Gym is 3,668. If we still played there we would fit in perfect with the Big West. I am sure glad we have come so far. Here is a pic of our Vollyball team playing there:  What gym? All I see is #10 |

MWC picks up CUSA Memphis with merge so we are negated and with recruiting taking a hit SDSU is downgraded so in the long run it will be the same. I am hoping that we are pushing for UNLVs inclusion as well. If AFA is wavering, this may happen. We need UNLV in the Big West with us. |

I am hoping that we are pushing for UNLVs inclusion as well. If AFA is wavering, this may happen. We need UNLV in the Big West with us. If West Virgina wins it's lawsuit against the Big East, Louisville might get the next Big XII invite and be gone by 2013. If that happens, the the Western division would be able to add UNLV with either UNLV joining the Big West or the Western half of the BE form it's own conference for olympic sports. |

We need UNLV, New Mexico, and our natural rival Fresno State to be with us no matter where we go in basketball. We need to have enough major basketball schools to go with us so we can be in a 3-4 bid conference rather than a 1 bid "1-and-done" conference. I hope they are working on some scenario like this. I think the MWC needs to consider keeping us for basketball. This conference is slowly dying and they need SDSU to stay in basketball. |

I hate seeing out basketball program getting hosed for a potential AQ bid that might not even be there in two years, not to mention we would have to beat out Boise and others to get it.
SDSU needs to think this through very carefully, I have very mixed opinions on this as it is obvious it will be a major downgrade for our basketball program which is on fire right now.

Being a UOP alum I happen to love the arena there....That picture was by far the best of all the arenas..Pacific has a lot of "talent", trust me....Hate to mention the name of the arena though,...Alex Spanos. Was it two years ago the Aztecs went to Stockton and got beat soundly...
