From 24/7 Sports.
A 6-foot-1, 170-pound creating guard out of Modesto (Calif.) Davis has seen offers come his way from Boise State, Cal State Bakersfield, Colorado State, Nevada, Ole Miss, San Diego State, UT-Rio Grande Valley, Washington, Weber State, and Wyoming since the month of June.
“It felt good being from where I came from,” Davis said. “Being a nobody a few years ago to adding a few offers to my name feels good. It pushes me even harder to see what I can do.”
With offers thrown down left and right this summer, Davis says Ole Miss, San Diego State, Saint Mary’s, and Wyoming are a few of the schools he is considering for fall visits. He breaks down a few of those programs with 247Sports:
San Diego State: “They are close to home. I see that as a benefit. Obviously, they have a good history of winning with them always being a top 25 ranked team in the country.”

He has good takes and I greatly appreciate what he brings to the board. This was just a minor point that I have always disagreed with and I meant it tongue-in-cheek

This was just a minor point that I have always disagreed with and I meant it tongue-in-cheek He actually made my point for me. Curious, how many weeks were we ranked in the top 25 of either the AP or Coaches poll last year? Answer - zero (0) Yet his perception is SDSU has a "good history of winning with them always being a top 25 ranked team in the country." Do you think that's because we are actually ranked in the top 25, which we weren't - not even once last year, or is it because we have a "history of winning" and made the NCAA tournament, which I contend is much more important to the perception of SDSU than actually being in the AP or Coaches top 25. Or maybe because these recruits have a much broader and more accurate perception of basketball programs than what a bunch of random AP voters & assistant coaches have to say each week?

Oh, sdcoug and his amazing bad takes. Wow, *that* is a bad take... Not as bad as saying “going NY6 has little impact.” Or he great insight on the Woman’s basketball coach and how they are going in the right direction the last two years. Those are bad takes. But you will agree to anything that guy says. Sad.

Do you really think he's thinking about what we were ranked when he was 5 or 6? He's doing an interview saying we're "always" in the top 25 after a season we literally were not ranked in the top 25 once. All during a key timeframe of which we were recruiting him. That tells me he uses other metrics to judge teams besides the AP top 25. Yes, agree to disagree.
