I'm sure somewhere there is someone named Horseman but not here. To my knowledge Hirshman has not been vilified by a phony name. More importantly, this has nothing to do with Aztec athletics

Fisherville: Use of the phony name is lame. His name is Hirshman, use it. AF1: It has to do with SDSU... we should be able to discuss anything related to the university here, not just athletics. ----------- I don't necessarily agree with calling for Pres. Hirshman's resignation, but I do think he totally dropped the ball on this one. The posters are borderline libel and the university should have immediately denounced the flyers and sought to remove them. UCLA (and others) got this right, SDSU did not.

By your logic we should also be discussing Donald and Hilary. Look at the title of this chat site above . Aztec Sports. Nothing more.

As usual you are off in the weeds. We read here to learn about Aztecs sports. No one wants to read here about "horseman" dealing with disgruntled students outside sports.

I'm unclear what the Al Sharpton organization claims Hirshman did wrong?
But then again, does an Al Sharpton organization need a legitimate reason to make noise?

We've always talked about many things beyond sports here, as long as it's SDSU-related. Some of the topics have included nationally publicized research by SDSU professors, Kathleen Kennedy the mega-billionaire movie producer SDSU alum, the guy who won the hot dog eating contest, etc.

He should've told the officer he was riding with last week to "floor it" when he was surrounded by the angry mob last week

This thread does not belong in the Aztec Sports section.
That said, the posters were in opposition to the continued Israeli occupation of various property seized by Israel in 1967. The European Union believes the continued Israeli occupation of those territories is wrong. Even the late former chief of Mossad, Meir Dagan, disagreed with the current Israeli government's handling of the occupied territories. The people who put those posters up are operatives of the ultra right wing Israeli political party Likud. They are like the Tea Party in the United States in that they are given to wildly exaggerated claims against anybody who does not agree with their political views.
