This thread does not belong in the Aztec Sports section. That said, the posters were in opposition to the continued Israeli occupation of various property seized by Israel in 1967. The European Union believes the continued Israeli occupation of those territories is wrong. Even the late former chief of Mossad, Meir Dagan, disagreed with the current Israeli government's handling of the occupied territories. The people who put those posters up are operatives of the ultra right wing Israeli political party Likud. They are like the Tea Party in the United States in that they are given to wildly exaggerated claims against anybody who does not agree with their political views. Finally. An informed individual with an educated response. Ignored the first wildly biased comment, but with another dufus eagerly agreeing, I'd just like to say 1) put it in the other section 2) the EU? That place with out-of-control non-refugee immigration that the UK is probably going to exit? With a newly-minted real rape culture? That place? Not too much credibility 3) you know you've got a fan of MSNBC or Daily Kos if you hear random & not pertinent references to Sarah Palin, George W, or Tea Party 4) The more qualifiers to opposing group, the more you should add to writer (e.g., ULTRA RIGHT WING = ULTRA LEFT WING writer) Hope SDSU has taught you all to think more critically than this. (LOL)

I'm sorry. I a little confused. I just opened the Aztec Sports and Conference Discussions Forum and discovered that it has apparently been combined with the Forum on Politics. Oh man, that's gonna leave a mark, huh?

(LOL) As generations pass, the memory of the Holocaust becomes nothing more than a piece of history. As such, the "Jewish victim mentality" becomes more unsettling to younger people who can't relate and more will question why Israel continues to occupy land that doesn't belong them. That said, Israel's current "hard right" stance doesn't help their cause, whatever that may be at this stage. My firm belief, so back off if you don't agree.

I'm not going to agree or disagree but occupied land is not a way to try to live in balance or find a long term solution, which should be the goal.
That being said, Hamas is not someone I would negotiate with.
This should affect our president in any manner going forward and is a waste of time at and for SDSU. This is not our issue, nor is it an issue on our continent

For the record, I'm old enough to always feel pain and sadness regarding the tragedy that happened to millions of innocent people during the second world war. But the fact is, I don't expect my self-absorbed grand nephew and current ASU Sun Devil to relate on such a level. This is pretty much ancient history to him.

I wonder if those who think the posters must come down also think the president of the university should remove any poster that refers to anyone as a racist, homophobe, or sexist.

Yep...it appears as though people are only sensitive about certain issues or certain issues are the only ones that matter. Enough with the hypocrisy, either be sensitive to all issues or be indifferent.

Oops, that was probably micro-aggression...
