July 27-31 last weekend of evaluations by the coaches . Not certain of what AAU and JC events are on tap . Then hopeful list of possible guys the Aztec coaches would like to have come visit this fall . Should be very interesting as we could easily use a guy that plays 5 or 4 ?

we could be evaluating him this month to see if the coaches wish to extend offer or visit ? Not allowed to say anything other then extend an offer ? He would seem to fit the athletic guy to play the 5.? Just saw this on TexasHoops, 2017 Offers - had no idea the list of schools after Samuel. Nothing from SDSU. Kevin Samuel- Auburn, Arkansas, Boise State, DePaul, Fresno State, Houston, Kansas State, Louisiana Tech, Oklahoma State, Prairie View A&M, SMU, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas Tech, Tulane, UCLA, USC, Virginia Tech

I like Wooten, he's got some Malcolm/Billy White style to his game. Bey is more of a wing in my opinion, but he crashes the boards hard which is a great intangible.

As usual boils down as usual , to who ( of the 5/4 's) we can get to come for an official visit and of course more importantly sign first week of November -
Will be very interesting to see the development of Nolan this year and outlook for 2017 ? Same with Zylan , if needed could he be a back up at the 5 ? But getting an athletic 5 would be important .

Rare to see someone who supposedly is talented sign so late in the game, so curious if he pans out. We'll (hopefully) see him in December!

Same with Zylan , if needed could he be a back up at the 5 ? But getting an athletic 5 would be important . He very easily could be the STARTER at the 5 this year & next year, especially if they want to get Pope & Z on the floor together a lot this year, which I believe they do. I think Nolan will be brought along slowly, especially with Z & Izundu available at the position. It wouldn't surprise me to see him as the 10th or 11th man. Time will tell. Unless, of course, we go BIG: Pope, Z & Izundu/Nolan all on the court at the same time, which means DA/Teki/Shrigs (w/ Pope at the 3) would get less PT in that scenario. I don't think official visits are all that critical at this stage. Both McCoy & Bey have already been on campus & have great relationships with the coaching staff. Never hurts, but not vital. I'm sure they have all the information about SDSU they will ever need already. Other big recruits have been as well. We may only see the late bloomers - or Plan B's - take officials here moving forward (& 2018's).

IMO we do need to add a 4 or 5 or both for 2017 ? Very little has come out from SS practices , especially since they do not get to practice that often . So not much is known about most of the development of the guys for 2016 ?
IMO development of Nolan is very important , for 2016 and even more for 2017 if we can not sign a guy to play the 5 in 2017 , we lose Valentine after this year, but we will not know that much more until fall practices . There has been some talk about Zylan 's development and also that Nolan has the ability to hit some outside shots . Summer chatter is interesting but more realistic actions during fall .
So we keep this post about 2017 Big Men that we hope to sign and if some one wants, start one in main section about 2016 MBB . We could speculate about the PT for various guys .? Speculate
So Wooten , Sidibe , Obndigo , Bey ? Is an official critical- maybe ? would say that it sure would help if we are trying to close the deal on 5/ 4 's and this is important

No doubt all of us would love to see McCoy at SDSU and until he signs else where there is a chance .
But far more likely is plan B - Ondigo , Sidibe , Wooten , Bey . Get two of those guys would really help 2017 team . Or JC L. Allen ?

I would agree if we could sign Tyler Bey and either Ondigo , Sidibe or Wooten today would do it , we would be at 13 scholarships ( until Malik declares for NBA) but would rather have the guys ( 4 or 5's) then hope and pray for McCoy ? Who seems to be looking at other programs first .

Batty just picked up an offer from the UNM Lobos, still ranked #100 ESPN 2017 class. I am not saying he will be an Aztec but has 7 offers from MWC - Fresno, Utah St, Nevada, San Jose, Boise and now UNM. Outside of the MW, Big East DePaul and James Madison...plus many other. He is a player. Batty with offers from Purdue and DePaul Local Southern Cal player & ESPN Top 100 Center/PF 6'7 280 Evan Batty plays at Villa Park in the OC, continues to get D-1 Attention, plays a Charles Barkely still game. Quicker than you think and can shoot from the outside.

So Gundo , who do you have as Aztecs possibilities for 2017 recruits that can play the 5 and or the 4 position ? Any visits scheduled for the summer / fall of 2016 ?
