My unsubstantiated impression is that Fish is trying to work out a way to get him a schollie: Transfer out, some player pays his own way for one year, a recruit does not qualify, or, whatever other solution can be dreamed up..... This gent is way too talented for Fish to not find a solution to his admission situation. Something seems to be going on behind the scenes. The fact he hasn't already committed to USC seems to be good for us. I would hate to have an All-Almost team with Ryan Anderson and Shaqquan Aaron.

Sucks. Please don't say anything stupid, he's a kid that thinks he made right decision for himself nothing wrong with it.

If true, bring on Narain for 2015!!! Would be a great addition & bring him much further along than coming in for 2016.
Filling the roster with Narain & Hoetzel would be pretty sweet!

Can't blame him. Reunited with old mentor, returns to old stomping grounds, and doesn't have to play any defense. Perfect fit.
There are a lot of 6'4-6'7 type wings every year who can make an impact (unlike 6'10+ or true points), so not something I'm overly concerned about. As noted, we'll have Shrigs, Allen, Hoetzel & even Zylan who could play the 3, and we can always slide Hemsley to the #2 & Kell to the #3 at times as well.
A lot of JC guys out there as well, and heck, a new transfer comes into the picture every other day in college basketball so who knows?

Bottom line for 2015 - Very important, we got Shepard and Pope to come back will start at forwards, Zylan and JH added to the other guys coming back ( very important for all the guys coming back to add solid contributions ,) also have BJ coming in at PF/C or could red shirt. lost Zabo to transfer and JJ , Polee , AQ to graduation . Did did not sign the grad transfer from USF - he chose Arizona . Got verbal from Smith then he re considered and went to the Ducks . Aaron possible starter for 2016 chose USC over SDSU. Narain has Verbal for 2015 or 2016 , sure hope we can sign him , would also be great if he can bring a team mate C/5 or SG . Added true transfer Max for 2016 as spot shooter reserve . A lot of work recruiting for 2016 could be needed, depends on Narain and adding other quality recruits Cage , Bailey ,..... quality not quantity .

When's the last time we haven't had a "quality" recruit? Zabo left due to PT, yet he was still a very quality recruit IMO. Everyone we've added who we've actually seen in the past few years has been, although I'm sure some would say D' Williams (I wouldn't).
Don't see that getting worse with JAM center. Not something to worry about IMO.
PS. I'm not sure I'd want BJ to RS (definitely not if Narain reclassifies & does). Think we'd want BJ to get SOME PT during games before 2016-17, even if limited & even though it would buy him a 5th year. Will just depend on how raw he really is, but would hate to have BJ, Narain, Cage/Kone/whoever all have zero PT heading into that season.

I hope BJ does redshirt. I admit I only saw him play 3 games in the last Torrey Pines tournament but he looked tentative, not very strong/aggressive and even a bit lackadaisical. Admittedly, he wasn't the go-to stud on his HS team(that Metu kid going to USC was) but I was pretty shocked at how average he looked considering he already had a Div 1 scholarship to a Top 25 program and he was playing against HS kids. Banging away with bigger, stronger players in practice for a year while he hits the weight room would be better I think than languishing on the bench all year.
