Hard to believe we lost to this mediocre team. Seriously.

8 misses... 9-17 (52.9%) Make 2 or 3 of those, it would have been about our season norm, and those 1 and 2 point deficits at the end are a tie or 1 point lead. Many times the bad FT shooting hasn't made a difference one way or the other. Tonight, it might have.

Quinn and Shep with a huge turd of a game. Wish Fish would have left Kell in there at the end instead of quinn. Must have had his Maui press clippings in his head while bombing away.

The inability to stop Avila proved to be the difference. Nobody stopped him. Spencer and Chol worthless tonight, especially against Avila. Left it up to JJ, too much to ask!

Transfers cost us this game. Chol washed up from Arizona and Quinn from csun. Before someone says jj was a transfer simple math helps this. 1-2=-1 you should transfer out of aztecmesa alohaboarder= worst troll poster on aztecmesa. ONLY negative posts from this clown.

Another embarrassing effort from our bigs. Great effort from the guys that finished. Ran out of gas. Fisher - why not play D. Williams early to spell AQ. Too damn stubborn! AQ was totally gassed down the stretch. I agree DW should have had a few minutes in each half

That was Colorado St's best game, give them credit, they hit their shots and the road is a bitch.
At least we saw Pope unleashed! That bodes well for the rest of the season.

Dude, they couldn't miss for the first 10 minutes. the 2nd half lineup was stacked more for scoring and not defense ( no Sky, Shep ) missed fts hurt down the stretch Neither played D tonight

Because CSU can't play any better. It's now our turn to play the bottom half of the league. We still have to go at UNLV and at UNM. Nothing is given. One things for sure, Malik just auditioned to take a huge chunk of *someones* minutes... "Paging Mr Shepard, Winston Shepard to the courtesy phone"

CSU took Pope out of the game the last minute or 2. They were smart....forced another to beat them and AQ and JJ had the chance, just didn't make them. I have no problem with AQ taking the shot. He wants it and can make it. This is the difference from the teams with DJ, Taps and JFrank, those guys made the last pivotal shot time and time again. These guys will get it, they are young, haven't been here before (needing last a one shots).

At least we saw Pope unleashed! That bodes well for the rest of the season. I agree, a true positive in a very tough loss. Pope was fantastic tonight, it is quite obvious he is the only true pro prospect on the roster (I am not counting Cheatham who we haven't seen on the court yet)

Seriously this defense is f#%king terrible we deserved the loss for playing so horrible. 29 for Avila really? Sorry but we're not outshooting ANYONE! If we can't stop them from scoring we're going to lose. Uh... overall, our guys shot 47.5%, CSU shot 46.3% What hurt was the insane 3 shooting early. We reined that in quite a bit in the 2nd half (it would be interesting to see the 1st half/2nd half breakdowns on shooting). We wound up outshooting them, but the hot start proved to be too much to overcome even with improvement on D in the 2nd half.

We tried the zone and they blew it up How about sticking with it beyond 2 possessions? It was so bad he had to abandon it. Maybe if they had different lineup but had pope out at the 1 and way to far out left way to big gaps

The Aztecs will win this conference. After tonight there is no doubt. CSU couldn't have had it set up any better and they needed refs to bail them out. I agree. If Pope keeps playing like he did tonight, the Aztecs will win the conference and MWC tourney. He looked phenomenal tonight! Shrigs has finally found his shot again, and that will help too. Oh, we're going to win the reg season AND the conference tourney too? I'd say we're more likely to win neither. You can't shoot FTs this poorly, take this many bad shots , miss as many layups, and have as many unforced turnovers as we do and expect success in March. When you add in our very questionable BB IQ, it makes your statement unlikely. Those things will KILL US in March. Hope I'm wrong. I keep waiting for things to click, they haven't. We're not bad, we are certainly not good- not top 25 good. I have seen ZERO improvement in any of those areas this season. Very very disappointing.

Clearly down the stretch we didn't have our best defensive team playing. Why not run a zone to protect weak defenders & too give others a blow on the court. "in Fish we trust" Ran the 1-3-1 zone one play late, left a wide open 3, which of course they made . You can't use a zone as rarely as we do and expect to be good at it. I think Fish thought he could lets the guys in there work a little less hard down the stretch. He was closing the game out with that group. What's amazing is our big time upper class guy sat on the bench the final 5 minutes. Right he deserved to be.

Other than the New Mexico trip our schedule gets much easier, not so much for Wyoming and CSU.
