We could have easily lost by 20 if that logic applies. Nevermind, answered my own question. 11-17-2009, second game of the season against St Mary's in the game played at 2 in the morning. But yea you're right, we could have EASILY lost by twenty. ... Looks like the logic might apply Not sure what your point is. That we never lose by 20+? My point is whether it's 2 or 20, it's still a loss. Are we looking for moral victories here now? It's not a devastating loss, but we definitely have to play more consistent to win the conference title, IMO.

All I'd like to know is WTF happened to our defense? The CSU perimeter shooters were not only getting open looks, but they were able to square up and shoot. Their players aren't quick, it was a team breakdown on our part. Hutson has to be really pissed that we allowed CSU to hit their average scoring total.

You do understand that we had a whopping 7 TO's, or didn't you check? 7 is not very many and it was against a tough D at altitude. They had 5 TO. They had 15 A we had 11. And we got out rebounded 36-32 and out shot pct wise except at the line were we were almost even. All true. My point was that much earlier you wrote that we have all the same problems we've had all year, TO, FT and REB. I pointed out that TO's have been brought way down. CSU is a very good rebounding team. We lost in the first half when we went down by 17 two different times.

We should have tied or went ahead with 2 minutes to go. It was a miracle we got that close but we earned it and just could not close it. They shot well from 3, and when they missed Avila shot well from in close. They were both good and lucky tonight outside and inside.

was anyone else pulling their hair out as we refused to give shrigley and pope any meaningful touches with under 3 minutes while they were having the games of their lives? unreal. pass the damn ball! at least its only january a better question is were you watching the game closely enough? They were denying the ball to Pope and easily bodying him off his position. When he did try to drive, he got it stripped. They were tight on Shrigley as well. LOL no you should go to lenscrafters. really. shrigley and pope could have easily have received the ball if they werent so passive/ or they ran a set for them. fisher had 3 tos left and trusted his seniors, a mistake. 1:04 left 14 left on sc pope has the ball by the scorers table with csus 6'3 and 6'4 guards on him and quinn, that would have a been a huge mismatch on the iso, but he gave it back to quinn. when he turned it over earlier he had the bigger avila guarding him. he wanted the ball earlier in the possession too but quinn wouldnt give it to him. probably prompted him to be passive but gotta let the hot hand take over.

If Shrigs and Pope were not aggressive, who's fault is it they didn't get the ball??

Not to be a weenie or anything...but I will be... that is just about the difference Bad Ref(s) made. We were lackluster but Shrigs and Pope were hot. They were playing lights out. But we lost our mojo to the refs who were playing the opposite game: "Oh, you got slammed, and you moved? I'm .... calling.... that....hmmm....Oh. A travel. It's a travel. Yeah. " Very free form officiating. DEFINITELY made the difference between our fans being relieved and disgusted. It's one thing to see their 3's rain down. It's another to have the game powerfully affected by the refs--who seemed to suffer from either a little issue with vision? or maybe ... just a homer thing? PLEASE PLEASE....we must leave this ghastly, punishing, low recognition conference! Btw AQ generally pulls through .I'm surprised that he did not. Shep absolutely runs hot and cold. He's a mystery. Quietly does so many good things and then cannot finish a basket. UGH. Not sorry that I had to wait to watch this recorded game.

Still, one can evaluate a loss and gain understanding about the trajectory of the team, lessons learned, and things to tweak or fix. In that lens, this wasn't devastating, there were bright spots, and some things our coaches can work on. I think our home game vs CSU will have a much better outcome, including the score differential.

Hard to believe we lost to this mediocre team. Seriously. Appears you think SDSU loses to mediocre teams a fair amount (Arizona, CSU)

Again, quit with the drugs and attend all of your classes, assuming they aren't all underwater basket weaving and pol science 100 level classes. With that said, time to put you on *ignore*.

I actually use that underwater basket weaving line that's amazing and now I'm not even mad. But no really I just don't like statements without explanation, that's generally what people do when they have no explanation because they made a quick or ignorant comment. Clarity is golden!
