I propose we create a "Whine like a sissy girl" section where all the crybabies can hang out. It's one thing to have constructive criticism, but another to flat out b**ch like a 2nd grader when we don't win or hell, even when we do win. That way I don't have to listen to all the Nancy's and Sally's (I'm betting half didn't even attend my beloved school!) unless I want to waste time and energy and visit those posts.

Would this post, whining about whiners, qualify for the negative Nancy sub board or would it be more properly placed in the misogynist forum? It is obviously far more noble to equate femininity with weakness when attacking fellow sports fans for their voiced dissatisfaction about a sports match than it is to say things like "we are not progressing fast enough for my liking" or "we have failed to recruit proper depth and talent at several positions and it has bit us in the ass over the last few years."

This board would be boring if no one complained.

Lost the fans? We had football fans to lose? Point taken. Sad, huh? Yeah, I get pissed at my fellow alumni I went to school with. Very few want to go to Aztec football games. They're all aboard the hoops bandwagon. I call my buddies front-runners and t-shirt fans all the time. hahahaha I live in Phoenix, and I try my best to attend at least one football game every year. I have to. I won't feel right without it. I'm an Aztec. What can I say?

The only two positions where there have been real problems are QB and kicker. The rest of this statement does not stand up. IN the kicker case Rocky brought in three. IN the QB case Toledo brought in three.Very few teams can take a lot of injury's at one position, are they all incompetent? We only have 85 scholarships 14 seniors,20 juniors,15 sophomores the rest freshman. when was the lat time we were in the top thirty in total defense and scoring defense. Rushing is good but passing bad, It is obvious the QB situation got screwed up. If it does not get fixed next year bad on the staff. Be serious all ninds of post on here even after a win of Rocky sucks, the Football team sucks were going to the toilet bowl Will never get to the next level with Rocky retread etc and so on. However nobody has an answer for the fact we pay crap and are in a terrible recessionary budget situation. Money talks Bullshot walks. I am all for getting a great coach Show me the money Rocky haters I am all in.

I must have missed SDSU's football mwc title, did it happen in your dreams? Rocky will never do that It happened. It was a "share" of the Conference title. I personally don't consider it a conference title, but the record books do. Why do people get so bent out of shape when negative things are said about the Aztecs? It's not like the negativity is made up. There is a basis for it. This board has been negative since it started. I don't see it changing even if the Aztecs went 12-0 and won the Rose Bowl, some folks get their kicks on being negative, sad but true. I'm just curious and not trying to stir anything up with this, but, why do you not consider the the share of a conference title a conference title when the league and every other official standing does? I don't understand the point when SDSU playing by the league rules as decided by the conference itself did what they needed to do to grab a conference title. In your scenario does that mean nobody won the conference title in 2012? Again, many others have said the above, I'm not trying to point anything at you directly, you just happen to be the poster that I finally decided to ask the question of. And I'm not arguing your point per se, I truly want to get an understanding of why it is someone would think we weren't a conference champion when the league were in says we are for 2012.

Do all the "we should hire a young, rising OC type" folks realize Chuck Long was one of those? Also do they realize statistically speaking we are by far much more likely to wind up with a Chuck Long than an Urban Meyer? We can point at statistical anomalies like CSU all you want. For every CSU, there are several more SDSU's under Chuck Long. Great point. We won't get the likes of the CSU coach or even FSU coach until we decide to make the commitment to spend that amount of money in the football program. Until then its a crapshoot.

I think it's really about making the right choices like USU and SJSU did, whose coaches left for bigger schools. And let's not forget, we have the Inland Empire in our backyard. That's probably the envy of every MWC coach who's trying to build his team. So what can having quality players do? They can mask a staff's inefficiencies.

My view is.....I don't think you can say you won the conference championship when you shared the conference championship. It was basically a tie. Do people call ties a win? I don't. I am not saying it isn't an achievement, because it is. But it's a "shared" conference championship to me.

We can spend $5M /year and get Brady Hoke back...no wait...we can get a bargain in Muschamp...only $3M /year...hell...for only $8M / year (about what Nick Sabin makes) we can get them both... At an average ticket price of $20...it would only mean that we'd need 400K fans (or roughly an additional 65K fans each game) to break even on $8M...having Brady and Will on the sidelines will instantly get us an invite to a P5 conference...and then from there it's an easy jump to the national title game... I like this formula...while we're at it...should we plan to win the Mega Millions lottery as well...seems just as likely

So this board is supposed to be a big pep rally filled with cheer leaders? Apparently so. It's a shame that honest views about this program are viewed as a bad thing. I always thought that criticizing a middling program like this (middling even for our weak conference) was a sign of faith and a belief that it could and should be better.

You either make a commitment to compete at or near the highest level or you drop down to a level where you can compete with just about everyone already at that level. At the very least the administration should be committed to competing at the highest G5 level.

Is that what you are supporting?

That's funny considering we now have 3 star guys in the two deep at every single position sans kicker and punter. That wasn't even the case two years ago.
