From listening to the various interviews, sounds like QK is out at least 2 weeks. We have fresno, NM, and Hawaii before a bye then at Nevada.
Team has to find a way to win the next three - then hopefully everyone will be back (Fely, Largent, Ruffin, QK) after the bye week.
Don't care if we win 2-0 or 100-99.... just gotta find a way to win.

True but Bawden can be the attention grabber and turn this season into a special breakthrough year. He is our best chance not QK. I'll look forward to seeing your comments on Saturday. You'll be a genius, or hoping QK is healed for next game. I hope you are right as Bawden has good physical tools, but you can't have a TrF have his confidence flattened. Hoping Toledo has a real good game plan to allow him to succeed to some extent, and not fail miserably. Comes down to our ability to consistently run the ball. Had Bawden been thrust into the starting job at the inception of the season and then not played well, I could see "flattened confidence" because he would have been expected to be better than Kaehler was last year and Quinn would have been looking over his shoulder. However, Kaehler simply hasn't played very well this year and he isn't available anyway. If Nick does play poorly, nobody should blame the loss on him. Nope, the blame should again go to our staff for having done such a terrible job of developing depth at the most important position on the field.

We're starting a QB who hasn't thrown even one collegiate pass and Fresno is starting a QB who hasn't shown the ability to hit the broad side of a barn. So how Vegas thinks the teams are going to put 57 on the board is beyond me.

Fely should just accept the fact that he can't play LB and move back to one of the safety positions.

I think Nick will be fine he will have less plays to run, but they will be the ones he is comfortable with. He can run and there were many plays that would have been short or m decent gains for a running QB . WE dominate the line and no turnovers we win. He can roll out he can bootleg. I bet in second and short he will toss one deep. Thee have got Dakota in the run game now too. Rocky plans on playing Chapman this year so you might see him in a blowout. I do not think this game will be one but New Mexico or Hawaii, Idaho.

They were speaking quite favorably about Bawden on 1090 this afternoon. This should make things interesting. Kaehler was just not going to be a real difference maker and our supporting cast is not that great where he could afford to be a so called game manager.

They didn't really say much about him other than his size and weight, and in dramatique fashion. I'll wait to see how he performs this Friday. I've been wrong before when it comes to judging quarterbacks after watching their highlight reels, and workouts. I really thought Jefferies was going to be our guy, and he sat the bench behind Katz and Dingwell. Morin could heave the ball 75 yards through the air. I hope this kid has the minerals.
