Phil Jackson owes his f'ing life and every part of it to three of the best basketball players in history. it amazes me that people don't see he's the luckiest coach in nba history to have kobe, mj, and shaq. hog wash other "lucky" coaches had great players and did squat

Don't blame Fisher he turned the program around. He wasn't the one making stupid mistakes out there. By the way we are 14-0 and #7 in the nation. A win is win people. By 1 or 100 it goes down as a win.

guys and the coaches may have been reading their own press clipping- these 2 games will hopefully be a wake up call - play smarter on O - PASS-the ball around to one of the better front lines in the country for easier shots in close or what should be open jump shots-(in -out-) work the ball - not just one -on -one basketball or hoisting up threes. KL would seem to be a very difficult match up when he heads to the basket -with option to BW/MT or kicking it out to the guards.Either great learning moment or reality check heading into conference play.

This thread is about discussing play of the Aztecs. So, make no mistake about it, we love Fisher and the Aztecs players.
Unfortunately, I did not see the Aztecs in Ohio. But, thank God for technology, I was able to see their Vegas games and it was no fun because I know the Aztecs can play better than they did two nights ago.
This thread is about the Aztecs play and Coaching. In response to saztec, I believe DJ, Kawhi, Malcolm, Billy, Chase and others are all team players or they would not be 14-0 and the #7 Ranked Team in the Nation. What concerns me is the PG who is appears to have the resolve that he is going to score the ball by any means necessary!
I am sorry, but the PG has the responsibility to "get the ball" to players who can exploit their opponents. There is no plausible excuse DJ or Fisher can give as to why Billy, Malcolm and Kawhi are touching the ball in the low block or each trip down the Court!
By definition the SG is supposed to shoot the ball. By defintion, your SF and PF should touch the ball in the low block and/or on the wing for scoring opportunities. By definition the PG is like the quarterback or general of the team. What does a QB or General does? He directs and make sure everybody does what they are supposed to do.
Finally, and I am done with this subject. I played the PG position and my sole purpose was to average more assists than anybody else on the team. Also, my purpose was to facilitate and get everybody involved. Moreover, on defense, my sole purpose was to disrupt the other's team PG. Get my drift? My sole purpose was not see how many points I could score or jack up 3 point shots!

I understand all you are saying, but if DJ is doing what the coach says to do and the other players are mad at DJ... That isn't DJ's fault. That would be jealousy from the other players. Either way, we are 14-0 so we are playing well as a team over all and we are moving forward toward our greatest season ever.

This isn't football. There are no such thing as style points in basketball.
On selection Sunday, I don't think I have ever heard anyone mention close wins. All they mention are good wins and bad losses. We have 3 good wins and zero bad losses.

Just come out and say you'd like to see a Coach Fisher led team have a different style at PG than what you're currently seeing. I'd have no problem with that opinion if you'd just man up and say it. But, to say the PG play is lacking is just absurd and borderline stupid on your part. DJ is playing just fine and is doing exactly what the HC, of which you're not, want's him to do. Sheesh, give it a break. 14-0 and number 7 in the country.

When we get rid of Fisher I am sure miner will be the next coach. He has it all figured out.

Are we really talking about getting rid of the coach that got us to 14-0 and #7 in the country??? Why is everyone hating on fish? Its like we always have to complain about something on this board. We could win the National championship and people will complain fisher didnt do this or should have done this. Without Fisher we would not be where we are now. Instead of complaining and saying Get Rid of Fisher, enjoy this, its only gonna get better

Dude, The more of these little dissertations that you write the more it becomes clear you don't know what you are talking about. Let me help you - you do not know more than Fisher- you do not know what Fisher is thinking - you do not know what the players are thinking - you do not understand basketball better than the players.... stop pretending that you know so much about hoops. you are not paying attention if you didn't see the ball go to the low post on the overwhelming majority of possessions last night. Without DJ playing as he did last night it would have been a loss....
