Meanwhile, in Albuquerque New Mexico just upset Washington State 38-35. I guess their first-year coach didn't need 5 years to turn their program around. Our football program is an embarrassment. We hired the WRONG COACH. We just don't hire the wrong coach. We hired a putrid coach. If he was even mediocre, we'd see SOMETHING positive. He ain't even mediocre. Wicker MUST GO.

I can't believe there are people on this board that still don't realize we hired the WRONG COACH. Can I say that I, along with maybe one or two others, called it first. I'm way too old, have watched way too much football to know a good coach when I see it. Likewise ... a bad one when I see it. There isn't a sliver of a sliver that I've seen this entire season that suggests this guy will build this program to even an acceptable 8 win season guy. I don't want to hear any "Brady left the cupboard bare" crap. There are many coaches that inherit programs as bad or worse than Lewis did that immediately shows signs of hope and optimism. Or more/better. 2 more years of this slop. I can see it getting worse. Staying the same would be worse. Wicker should be fired. Full stop. Totally agree. Things will not get better in the future with this current coaching staff. I will keep saying this over and over again. SDSU fans and alum deserve better. JD Wicker has to be fired. He has been a human recking ball to this athletic department.

Coach Lewis's post game presser: "We had opportunities. We’ve got to do a better job of valuing the football. I’ve got to do a better job of leading the team, so we can play better, complementary football. There’s opportunities that we left out there and thought we could have played better.
“We get the opportunity to do that for the next two weeks. It’s unfortunate the way that we handled the season thus far, obviously, that we’re not going to get extra time. … But we have these two weeks. We’re going to cherish them, and we’re going to use them to get better.”

When it looks like $#!+, why not be honest with the fans? Whatever it is, we can handle the truth, but just giving us zero results and not being honest with us feels like disrespect. Lies almost. If you're saying that you have to be better, but there is no evidence of you being better.... what do you think that we're thinking? This guy is a fraud! Sheesh!!!

Two teams devoid of talent hired new head coaches after their programs circled the drain
New Mexico picked a Bronco while the Aztecs picked pain

21-0 with nine minutes left in the second quarter. On our way to 3-7. Anyone see what Air Force and Utah State did today? There is a good chance we end up 3-9, which is worse than last year. As I have said before, SDSU fans and alums deserve better. We pay our coaches more than others in the MWC and we get this crap? JD Wicker needs to be fired NOW!!! His coaching hires have been horrendous. Time to hold him accountable. But we'll get a better draft choice now.

Hes a tough little back that leads the nation in carries but is near the bottom of the list in YPC. Think about that, let it sink in. He has the most carries in the nation. He has the lowest ypc. So we give a running back whose not good more carries than anyone else. 🤔 Stupidity? Insanity? Yet no one in the pu**y San Diego media has questioned that all year. WTF?!?!

Does that mean Cooper is playing for all the rest of the RBs? Lewis is a complete joke as a coach. The Cooper thing is unlike anything I've witnessed in watching football over the past 67 years. It make NO SENSE!!!!!!

Maybe it's time he steps up and puts his money where his mouth is and Donates say 50% of his salary from this years $#!+ Show to next years NIL fund. When is this University going to wake up and see they are running this entire football program into the ground from the play on the field to the field itself. This program is becoming a joke in the college football world!

My favorite play of the game was the one immediately after the 72-yard fumble recovery by Staley. 2:52 left at the UNLV 28 yard line, down 21 points and the idiot Lewis calls a Cooper run up the middle. It REALLY is insanity!

Our problem: As long as The Wickster remains AD, we'll be stuck with the Lewis. Jettisoning Lewis now will allow another coach time for some recruiting. There is no excuse for allowing him to linger, which would allow further steeping the program with his museum-quality Paucity of Prowess. Pick ANYONE in the stands and they'll be fine coaching the last two games.
Wicker needs to go, or at the very least, be walled off from any future hiring process. We don't need any more mandarin's making decisions. These actions will save, not hinder, SDSU football and, in my opinion, show the Football World that we take the program seriously. It will further demonstrate to future players that we will not accept gross incompetence and failure. Other potential coaches will respect that, not abhor it.

But even if Lewis were be fired, and he will at some point sooner than much later, WHO is leading the process to hire a new replacement coach? It feels hopeless as I don't see or know of anyone within the schools's administration or athletic program that is competent or capable to do that - or at least take charge and find and bring in the right persons to do it. Who? ADLTraitor? She's clueless and my bet is she doesn't really care other than the photo ops, prestige and credit she would take if the program was like, say, Boise. I saw here all over that kind of photo up stuff in our march to and at the Final 4. I'm not sure it matters to her or it affects how she is evaluated by her higher ups? That would urgent and critical to know. To me the only hope is there are powerful alums, donors, business sponsors, that "get it" and this matters a lot to them for whatever reasons. Would former Aztec greats like Marshall Faulk, Kevin O'Connell, Kyle Turley, etc. be able to mount a "coup" per se to build up enough awareness and concern in the public that it would embarrass and pressure ADLT & the higher ups to feel serious heat and be willing to let people who know what the eff they're doing run a process to fix this moving forward? The play under Lewis is hopeless IMO. But based on what I said above, it could be REALLY hopeless.

You'd thought when he was hired that there was some genius, innovative and leadership coming in with this guy's hiring. There is none of that. ZERO. New Coach. Same as the Old Coach.

Someone needs to tell wicker the stadium is done being built and now he needs to figure out how to fill it on game days. The thing is since about half way though the build things have really dropped off in the athletic department (minus Men's BB). This University needs to take a real serious look at the direction of this football program and work towards major improvements because if not real soon it maybe just too late and will set back this program back in a even bigger way.
