Someone I know who was in West Hollywood yesterday sent me this message:
I think it's pretty clear that they were targeting gays since West Hollywood is known as a haven for the gay community.
Well done, Republicans! The hate spewed by Trump has trickled down to his loving masses, and this is just the start.
Looks like my initial post was timely. An awful lot of people on the right have no sense of caring, compassion, kindness, or empathy. Just anger, hostility, and cruelty. What a sad time we live in when people are attacked not for what they do, but who and what they are (which, of course, is beyond their control).

Showing kindness and compassion towards others? Providing help for those who cannot take care of themselves? (Health care, financial assistance for those in need to pay for basic living expenses, proper funding for education, etc.) Showing respect and tolerance for others who are different from you? (Race/ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, etc.) I see a lot of real anger and resentment from our members on the right. Angry that people dared bring up Trump's many flaws and racist/homophobic/cruel comments. Angry that when Republicans say and do reprehensible things they are called out on it. Being better isn't bad. It's good. Tolerance, compassion, caring, kindness - these are the most important virtues any human being can show towards others. Why aren't those things valued by the right? You should lay off the propaganda machine. There are so many examples of intolerance from the left on this board, let alone real life The far left is as hateful as any group, but the majority of republicans and democrats are reasonable people who just differ on self accountability vs having bigger government Your premise that all republicans have no respect or tolerance is disrespectful and ridiculous |

Sending texts to black people telling them to report to their new slave owners on the plantation - that's ok? I really don't ever see/hear Democrats doing that kind of thing. |
