If USU accepted and took the MW below 8, the MW will be cooked. Nah, they’ve got other schools to choose from… We shall see.

If USU accepted and took the MW below 8, the MW will be cooked. They will just invite UTEP to get back up to 8 Nevarez is throwing big money to keep the rest which will leave her with less to rebuild the conference.

Wouldn’t it be hilarious if Nevada ended up in the Pac and UNLV ended up in the MW with UTEP and New Mexico State?

If USU accepted and took the MW below 8, the MW will be cooked. NMSU and UTEP would both accept. A $3 million media deal is about 4x what they currently get from CUSA. Texas State I’m not so sure. Sac State could be added when they’re ready for FBS. There’s some other FCS schools in Texas who want to move up - Tarleton and Abilene Christian. There’s two FCS schools in Utah who want to move up - Utah Tech and Southern Utah. There’s also NAU who might be interested in moving up. So as long as the MWC doesn’t get whittled down to 3 or 4 schools it has no shortage of options.

Do you think the MW with WYO AFA SJSU UNLV HAWAII UNM Nevada is going to receive a media deal that pays out $3M and do you think that the UTEP and NMSU will receive a full share after they just promised unequal revenue sharing to UNLV and AFA?

Wouldn’t it be hilarious if Nevada ended up in the Pac and UNLV ended up in the MW with UTEP and New Mexico State? Hope it happens. And if I am Nevada, I have to be looking at Boise and FSU as old rivals, with SDSU also being a circle the calendar team. It really is just about exit fee. Conference buds by coercion, gotta love the MWC.

So legitimately which schools are left for the Pac-12 to get to eight in football? With the remaining MWC teams signing to stay except for USU I haven’t a clue. Ideas?

I don’t know, but it also doesn’t take much imagination to see that lineup easily beating the $800k that the current CUSA deal pays.

The Gore is for 5 years, im pretty sure the travel bill for a charter plane will be picked up. Closer trip than Hawaii. Then they will add Gonzaga tomorrow. They just needed one school to commit from the MTN west or CUSA.

AFA isn’t that small of a market, plus it gets the military following which is huge. SJSU is in one the biggest markets in the country. Granted they don’t get much audience in that market but the networks don’t seem to care much about that. UNLV is a fairly large and emerging market. Reno/Tahoe isn’t that small anymore. Wyoming gets a crapload of oil money. Albuquerque has population north of 500k - it’s not a tiny city. And El Paso/Las Cruces is close to a million between them now. I could see them getting to $3 million. We shall see though.

WSU Oregon State SDSU Boise State Colorado State Fresno State Utah State UConn (Football only) Gonzaga (basketball and olympic sports) Let's see what transpires, but UNLV may see the USU news and reconsider their choice. If I was the PAC, I would send out a tweet that says we will see you at the fields and the courts.

Reportedly, Nevarez had a deadline of 4PM to accept her incentives.

I'll say it... add Gonzaga + Hawaii for football only, and then just stop there for now at 8 teams (obvs counting those 2 schools as a collective 8th member)
EDIT: Oh, and be sure to keep the Pac-12 basketball conference tournament in Vegas -- in part as an F-U to UNLV, lol

Southwestern College and Bakersfield College have better facilities.

Travel is same for us and not sure if it still gets us one extra game if in conference but that would be a bonus too.
