I thought the O would mesh and be a little better? I love Cooper! But, for all his talk, he decided/couldn't recruit a seasoned QB and ended up with 4 or 5 Frosh, redshift Frosh, and inexperienced Soph QB's? And, while making adjustments or simply wearing TAMC we looked a little better, Sat's game was a BIG disappointment!!! Penalties were/are a huge concern and ongoing problem. The play calling, and personnal substitutions or lack of really bother/worry me a lot!! If the they look, act and play like this next Sat and especially against CM after bye week??? A 1-3 record will be almost impossible to recover a semi decent season.

Lewis' first season will be like Jedd Fisch's at Arizona. Didn't it feel good to go to their house and whoop them a year ago? Fisch looked like a fail but look where he's at now.
I don't expect much from season 1 of the Lewis era. I'm hoping it to be fun to watch like Craft's no huddle (no headphones) offense.
Oldie Out

I don't know about CCSU, but they put up 66 pts up on them. FIU beat them 52-16? They will be at home so....if we somehow win on the road and are 2-2 Oct 5th then I will be surprised, happy(sort of) and looking forward to another win against UH. Until them consider me from Missouri!

Utah fans had to go through their lumps for 7 years when they joined the PAC and they stood by Whittingham the whole time. Their attendance was consistently good throughout as well. Bu, I do understand it is California. Don't win, people are not going to show. Just go up the road and take a look at UCLA if you don't believe. Even a couple of years ago when they were ranked nearly the entire year they were giving tickets away for free in order to get people to show up and they only averaged about 43K/game if I recall correctly. Huh? Utah record in the PAC12 1 year 8–5 2 year 5-7 3 year 5-7 4 year 9–4 5 year 10–3 (won the PAC) 6 year 9–4 7 year 7–6 Might want to look up something before saying nonsense. Look at their conference records, fella. And Utah's first conference championship was in 2021, their 10th year.

I would have used the word Dude but I think Fella shows some nice creativity.

Not panicking yet. The defense played well – especially for being on the field as long as they were. If it wasn’t for a few bad penalties that erased big gains and the fumble in the end zone, the game would have been much closer. With Lewis being an offensive coach, I did expect the offense to look better by now than it did last night, however. ^THIS^ Saturday was deja vu of the shut out to UNR last year. I certainly didn't expect a win, but I did expect some offense to get excited about...instead it was offensive...just like the last two years.

Lewis was brought in to fix the offense. If we wanted the same defensive result we should of just kept Hoke and saved 4 million dollars. Our special teams haven't looked too good neither. If you expected anyone to fix the offense or team in general in year 1 you are entirely delusional. It’s a process. Then again reasonable is something you are not, you’ve bi***ed about him since his hire constantly. Was it delusional to expect better than last year's UNR game? Because that's what it felt like to me on Saturday. I expected some points, I don't think that's an unreasonable expectation given what we were promised (i.e. AztectFAST).

That 2023 O scored on Oregon State with a safety starting at QB Having a worse offense than the 2023 version is definitely a disappointment

I would have used the word Dude but I think Fella shows some nice creativity. I would have given him double extra points for "Little Fella", but I think dude/lil homie would have been my choices. But then again, he has always been Nimrod to me. But Nimrod has kind of grown on me, and I feel dirty for saying that. He is a straight shooter and I give him that. I can't understand half the shite he says, but he is a passionate fan.

You've got a bunch of guys out there that have never started and are playing in a new system. It takes more than a couple games to really get that down. Anyone going off on this coaching staff over this game is absurd. Now, if we had 8 or 9 starters returning, and the system wasn't all that different from what they played in before, sure, there would be reason to be a little concerned. But under these circumstances? Give me a break.

So unless you're a school with a massive NIL account it's going to take several games for the offense to really start clicking against D1 competition with (almost) a whole new offensive starting line-up.

Not me I like winning and one of a coaches job is to use the plan for the players you have. Not fitting a square peg into a around whole. When you lose 40 some players and start a young freshman QB it's going to take some time to be good. I personally think it was terrible how so many of our fans complained during Rocky's years. I guess some of us aren't interested in winning. You need to give Rocky some credit for that 12 wins during Hoke's good year because most of those were Rocky's players. To be honest I was really concerned that Lewis was going to be really good immediately and move on before he really improved the program considering what he inherited. Let's be patient and see where this goes in the future.

But coming from the fisher has peeked crowd, i guess I shouldn’t expect any more. PS- Coryell went 1-3 in his first four games with the chargers Bobby Ross went 0-4 in his first 4 games with chargers in 92 Hoke was 4-8 in 2009 Rocky long ave 8-6 his first 4 years. & that was inherited 9 win team And these were before NIL and transfer portal made it tougher to keep players from jumping to p4 Maybe, just maybe you need to have a beer and chill

That is why he quit, because that is what he was asked to do. Personally, I thought Rocky was a stuck up jerk most of the time. Hated talking to the press, didn't promote the program, and would rather win 2-0 than 28-7 so his defense could get all the credit. Gosh, remember all of you complaining how we didn't recruit good QBs under Rocky. Rocky recruited QBs who wouldn't lose games and didn't like putting the ball in the air unless he had to. I literally can't believe so many on here, it would be laughable if it wasn't so sad.

How many times were they rank before the season those 7 years? 4. Now at the end of the year? 3 times. Tell me would SDSU fans be happy being ranked 3 out of the 7 years. Is that going to affect Utah attendance and loyalty? F**k no. If that was SDSU they would have an extra 5,000 more fans at the least. Better yet how many years was Rocky ( which everyone love him so much) team ranked? 2 times. Yet, you are judging them on championship. Lol. Also, comparing attendance and fan base and using Utah as an example is hilarious. Utah of course the fans are go to stay and be loyal. They left the MW and got to actually play good teams all year. Instead of New Mexico,Wyoming and the other crappy MW teams at the time. Yet SDSU stuck still here with an even worse MW conference. Yet if this was reversed their would be not words how much praise SDSU would have gotten. Really good insight. Lol.
