If we had reasonably solid lines on both sides of the ball, then the turnaround would be much faster, but we don't. We're going to need more transfers in the trenches for next season. The other thing is discipline, again on both offense and defense. You can't suddenly coach discipline in the course of a week, and it showed last night. Discipline needs to be a core tenet of the program, as it was under Rocky. So far, discipline doesn't appear to be an emphasis under Lewis, but that needs to change. Agree with this. Both our lines are patchwork. There are new players everywhere. The coaching staff did the best they could with the abbreviated recruiting season they had.

It's game2 not game 22. It will take some time> i know people are upset because they care. This journey will have ups and downs . In todays College Football environment lets hope Coach Lewis is the best guy to take us forward. We have to give him chance.

We need a new and better fan base. Giving up on your team after a game is pretty weak. OK to be disappointed but calling for the coaching staff to be fired is absolutely ridiculous. I have to assume it was said in sarcasm. Such terrible fans.

Coach Lewis and his staff are going to work their a$$ off to get this program rebuilt. O’Neil is going to be incredible his junior and senior year. It’s going to take time and growing pains.

We've been gaslighted for decades so I don't give a damn about being extremely sarcastic at this point.

X 100 A lot of us passionate Aztec fans are sick of what we've seen and it's completely fine to express those opinions. We want our FB program to at least somewhat resemble our BB program. It's also ok for fans on the other end of the spectrum to want to show more patience while giving explanations why we continue to be mediocre. But I think the numbers on this board are weighing heavily in the "strong reactions" category. But you can have opinions the other way too. But I AM sick of being told I'm not a good fan because I don't support whatever our teams do or the coaches say.

In the words of Bob Hope, "Thanks for the memories."

That is a very distinct possibility and is beyond ours, or the coaching staff's, control. That is the new nature of CFB. There are the have, and that is maybe a couple of dozen teams, and then there are the have nots which is everybody else, including us. In rethinking my first sentence, the coaching staff can attempt to sabotage O'Neil too make him look bad so no one wants him so they do have some control.

Calling out a fans to be replaced because of his opinions. Is also dumb AF.

Probably not because he came to sdsu because of his relationship with Coach Lewis so I think he would be loyal to him. He seems like a kid that is about more than money. Also he’s only 6 feet tall and doesn’t have the protipical QB body so that will keep the big boys away from him.

When everyone was asking for an average offense and not a mediocre one. So you might need to walk away on this.

Even Fisher took more than 2 games to turn the basketball program around.

Even Fisher took more than 2 games to turn the basketball program around. And he lost to both Long Beach St and Fresno St, by 21, his first year. We did beat Redlands, Cal Poly, Cal Western, UCSB, USD, Pepperdine and the US Marines that year.
