You do have a right to your opinion. Still, our fanbase is weak and needs to be replaced by a better caliber who will support our team in a more successful way.. Calling the coaches to be fired already is dumb. Calling out a fans to be replaced because of his opinions. Is also dumb AF. Utah fans had to go through their lumps for 7 years when they joined the PAC and they stood by Whittingham the whole time. Their attendance was consistently good throughout as well. Bu, I do understand it is California. Don't win, people are not going to show. Just go up the road and take a look at UCLA if you don't believe. Even a couple of years ago when they were ranked nearly the entire year they were giving tickets away for free in order to get people to show up and they only averaged about 43K/game if I recall correctly.

Huh? Utah record in the PAC12 1 year 8–5 2 year 5-7 3 year 5-7 4 year 9–4 5 year 10–3 (won the PAC) 6 year 9–4 7 year 7–6 Might want to look up something before saying nonsense.

The only coach I know of at San Diego State that turned their program around in the first year was Coryell, and I go back a very long time. Even Fisher took more than 2 games to turn the basketball program around. And he lost to both Long Beach St and Fresno St, by 21, his first year. We did beat Redlands, Cal Poly, Cal Western, UCSB, USD, Pepperdine and the US Marines that year. And that was as many wins as we had under the former coach the 4 previous seasons combined.

I'll tell ya,' beating the Marines was sweet. More than made up for any loses that season.

Wicker should wake up from his stupidity and fire Lewis and hire Choate. I guarantee you Choate will be a more successful HC than Lewis. I think Wicker might be an issue. I’m not sure who was responsible for conference realignment but if the Aztecs had a “salesperson” handle that, I firmly believe they would have a new conference to play in. The current admin just doesn’t get it. Too worried about patting themselves on the back and not worried or skilled enough to get the entire university into a higher more lucrative conference. I try not to think about it, but if the school had someone like a Dave Gavitt (from the old days for those who know) the entire university landscape would be way different. Announcing to leave the MWC for the PAC when PAC wasn’t even in existence is so embarrassing!!!! How the admins couldn’t see that still baffled me.

That was a wildly frustrating game to watch. I would say the most frustrating that I can remember, but then I remember that we played one of the worst FBS teams in the country last year in Nevada and lost at home 6-0, so that was probably worse.
But that game last night was tough to stomach. A lot of undisciplined play, to go along with some really puzzling play calling decisions. Most notably the one time we got to the goal line of course. Not calling for anyone's head but that was bad
The first game's score looks pretty good, but that game did not give me any confidence going into this OSU game. The defensive score and weird big plays made the score look way better than it was

I was only a sophomore in high school Governali's last year at San Diego State. I went to a few games in Coryell's first year, 1961, with some of my high school buddies because Hoover's football teams were so bad at the time. I always went to all my high school games in spite of that. Looking at his record, it's obvious he was not a good coach.

So nobody shouldn’t tell anyone how to fandom.

Not reading this thread as while i’m sure there is some reasonable comments the same 5 people will come out of the woodswork to b****. All that being said yes the penalties are bad and yes the offense has a long way to go. I liked what i saw from the defense and trust in lewis. Go aztecs

If we wanted the same defensive result we should of just kept Hoke and saved 4 million dollars. Our special teams haven't looked too good neither.

Not directed to anyone on AM >>> The truth hurts, but overall we have a weak-ass fanbase. All you have to do is look around the stadium at the empty seats. Decades of disappointment may have contributed to this. And I remember when we were a FOOTBALL school and not a basketball school. The basketball bandwagon is still humming along just fine thank you very much. But do not lose sight of what a monumental task our football program has in front of them, not just for MW supremacy but for national relevance. Oregon State was the better team Saturday and we have a TON of work to do to improve. On to California.
As for the fan base, some things never change. There is hope though, love our student section! Do not talk sh about the student section they continue to represent!

If you expected anyone to fix the offense or team in general in year 1 you are entirely delusional. It’s a process. Then again reasonable is something you are not, you’ve bi***ed about him since his hire constantly.
