Tonight, a game boxscore said 7 Oregon State running backs had at least 1 carry while only 2 Aztecs running backs carried the ball. That is on the Aztecs coaches. One player Lucky Sutton decided to play at SDSU and the coaches refuse to play him. Time to transfer Sutton and go to another MWC team.

Silver Lining: if "Tall Baldy" doesn't have a winning season this year, he won't be poached by another P5 program too quick. Let's not kid ourselves, SDSU is a stepping stone program for a hot young coach like Lewis. Oldie Out Hot young coach is debatable, what makes him a commodity? 24-36 at Kent State and being demoted at CU? Giving up on a game in the 4th quarter? I agree 100% with your assessment. I hope I am wrong, but I feel we have the wrong head coach and that is on JD. If UNLV can turn things around in the first year, there is absolutely NO REASON we cannot do the same thing if we have the right head coach. The football program at UNLV was in a lot worse shape than ours was when their current head coach took over, and he turned around their program in the first year. Don't give me this nonsense that it will take several years to turn around our program. If that is the case, we hired the wrong head coach. |

Kudos to our players though, especially defense. Besides the penalties, they gave their all. We didn't have it tonight, and I think what was in our hands is more what the coaches need to analyze, not the players.

Like I said, Danny was hurt, should've pulled him. I said the same thing. It was obviously an overwhelming situation where you might want to get another QB in there to see if he can ignite a spark, especially when O'Neil was hurt. It's almost as though he was sending a message to everybody that don't even think about me giving up on this kid, no matter how much it hurts the team, and the player himself. Stubborn and prideful, at least that's how it comes across to me. Not good. |

I'm not surprised about tonight. After all we were projected to finish with a losing record and in the bottom half of the conference standings. If we end up worse than last year's 2-6 record then the blame should definitely be on Wicker, not Lewis. I do expect more losses as the season winds down, but how they lose will determine whether Wicker made another bad hire.

A blocked? punt (though it looked like he just kicked it off the side of his foot)

25,318 in attendance - maybe 7,000 by the 4th quarter
Plenty of season left to improve upon tonight's overall craptastic performances by some - if they're capable of it - and I think many of them are.

Same ole Aztecs Different coach Different offensive philosophy Same result Actually even worse. I don't ever recall Hoke or Rocky ever quitting with 4 minutes left. Even the announcers thought that was a b1t#h move by Lewis So far, I don't really like this guy as head coach. A lot of his in-game decisions are stupifying. Not just quitting with 4 minutes left. Leaving an injured and clearly ineffective true freshman QB in the game. Riding with one RB but then only using him for one play once you got inside the ten yard line. No wonder why all the returners transferred. I'd have a sick feeling if I were on a team with a coach who basically forfeited with 4 minutes left. |

Is quitting what "Be the Alpha" is about? I'm good on that. It actually is I cringe every time I hear Lewis say that because outwardly claiming to be an alpha male is literally the biggest indicator they're not. Where can we hear the post game presser? He's almost impossible to listen to because he talks so damn fast. IS SDSU EVER GOING TO MIC THE QUESTIONS?  ?? The only ones you could understand were the ones from Coach Kentera. Blah Blah Blah Blah I didn't hear anyone call him out about waving the white flag.
