Is there a way around the Big 12 TV deal that WILL NOT add extra dollars for expansion teams that ARE NOT from a power conference? I think this is the major issue. If not, is SDSU will to take less $$$ for a period of time?
I feel we may have already been added to the Big 12 if this were not an issue.

Kinda wild that UCONN football wouldn't be allowed in the club till 2031. What kind of pitch can you even give future recruits 🤣🤣🤣?

the Big 12 is trying to become the best basketball conference
as the Big 12 contract states the TV network will pay extra for Power conference teams added but not schools similar to SDSU

UCONN subsidizes their athletic programs with $30M a year. State is about $15M. Double the subsidy, put $3M into Basketball and $12M into Football.
Just my own terrible opinion.

At this point I'm willing to move all our sports to BIG12 and have football be independent if that was the only way into the BIG 12.

Once the super conferences take place the majority of the Big 12 and ACC will be exactly where we are. |

Maybe I'm too optimistic but I'm not ready to throw in the towel yet. |

Within 5 years 30-40 schools will break apart and form a super league.
All this maneuvering will start again.
