Well, one cannot say. Right now, if Joe Biden remains on the ticket, it appears that Donald Trump will win. But I am not so sure about that. If Biden is dumped, the whole thing is up in the air.
I'm about to say something that I never thought I'd say; rather than see Biden remain in office, I would rather see Gavin Newsom President. Why? Not because I support the ultra-slick Newsom's policies. It's because Joe Biden is obviously well past the point of no return mentally.
I have always thought that Biden was, at best, a second-rate politician. I have to believe that the vast majority of Democrats, including almost all those in power, can see that Biden is by now dangerously close to extreme senility. Can you imagine Joe in two or three years? The fact is that those who enjoy the power of being close to the POTUS have done their best to cover up for the old man's growing mental incapacity. Nobody can deny that fact any longer.
How about Trump? If Trump were the man that his many followers think he is, I would not be too worried. But he is not that man. He is something worse. He is man who is totally self-absorbed and lacking in self-discipline. (Okay, I admit that at least the first of those two qualities is shared by many politicians.)
Here's another thing about Trump's return. As with his first term, the Democrats will do whatever they can to sabotage his presidency. Don't misunderstand me. The party out of power has the right, actually the responsibility, to oppose the policies of the majority party according to their political beliefs. That's okay. But let's not forget what the Democrats did to Trump. First of all, there were voices calling for the members of the electoral college to overturn the election by voting for the loser. There were members of the House who wanted to impeach Trump immediately. Then there was the Russian collusion hoax. The list goes on and on.
I did not support Trump in 2016 and was critical of many (though not all) of his actions. But after all, he was the President and had the right to pursue his own policies. The Democrats never accepted the legitimacy of his victory in 2016. And yet they say that Trump is the threat to democracy!
Trump's claim that he won in 2020 was the last straw. Well, not the last straw in terms of whom I will vote for.
I think the Democrats and Trump are both threats to democracy. Okay, call me crazy. Here's the thing. I would rather have a centrist Democrat versus a centrist Republican on the ballot this November. The changes in the two major parties make that impossible.

Those articles of impeachment, drafted in 2017, were in connection with events that actually happened. The charges were obstruction of justice, for which the remedy, the only remedy, is impeachment. Knowing what we know now, I don't see how an objective individual (which you are not) can argue against that. Trump's pattern of *proven* lawless behavior speaks louder than any of your complaints.

AzWm If Biden is replaced...which sounds more likely than yesterday...anyone but Harris will result in a definite loss...the Black/Hispanic/Asian caucuses are steadfast with Biden/Harris...it's been made clear by them that if she isn't the nominee...they're going to walk/revolt...so if Biden is replaced...Harris/Whitmer would probably be the ticket...and is capable of defeating Trump.

AzWm Approval? No. Genuine interest? Yeah. Things that don't need to be rehashed when they are covered in five different threads already? Yeah. You can't be serious about newscum. He is solely responsible for screwing the people in California. Other states allowed their residents to be mask free. Yet he lied about the French Laundry incident. My comment comes from my own financial troubles. The 2016 election was because hiliary rotten felon clinton was a horrible candidate after her deplorable comment. No more medical tyranny.

Trump wins unless the Dems nominate someone to run who is sharp. Then they have a chance. But not with "sleepy Joe". Trump was right with that characterization.
I believe the same of the other side. Nominate a sane Republican and he/she wins.

Nominate a sane Republican and he/she wins. Virtually all the polling indicates the exact opposite on the Dem side...and the political reality of trying to reinvent the wheel while ignoring the millions of people who voted for Biden in the primary is a tough sell. I trust the Dems to eat their own, though.

Right now America is arguing between a convicted felon and a man who doesn’t have the mental capacity to live on his own. Has our country hit rock bottom or can we go even lower? Or, in a different frame - A convicted felon who tried to overturn an election by force against boring, normal, peaceful democracy.
