by the way what happened to the former HC at Fresno Coach H Justin Hutson, the former men's basketball coach at Fresno State, reached a settlement with the university after filing claims of racial discrimination, but was fired after 6 seasons at FSU. Hutson, went 92-94 in six seasons in Fresno including 12-21 and 11-20 in his final two seasons. The settlement included $290,000, over which he will be paid a total $241,000 for five months, or $48,200 per month with $22,200 paid by the university and $26,000 from its Athletic Corporation, plus benefits. www.fresnobee.com/sports/college/mountain-west/fresno-state/bulldogs-basketball/article288300105.html#storylink=cpy

The Aztecs have unveiled their 2024-25 out-of-conference schedule, featuring 9 OOC games alongside 20 Mountain West matchups, for a total of 29 MBB games. There's still potential to add one or two more contests. Recent additions include games against UCSD on November 6, Occidental on November 12, and USD on December 7. No official word yet on adding to get to a 30 or 31-game schedule.

Kinda wild that only one team (Gonzaga) is going to get on an airplane to come to San Diego to play us. Are we just trying to save money or is it really that hard to get a team to play us when it's not a home and home? Or is it due to the 20 game MW schedule??
We almost always play Big West schools in our non-conference too. This year it's only UCSD.
Luckily we have Gonzaga and it is kinda fun to play the other San Diego schools (when it's at home), but if this is the underwhelming home schedule we get when we go to the 20 game MW schedule, then thank god we're leaving this conference.

Exactly! This is why every year I debate if I want to renew my season tickets. This might be the end of it this year. Almost $5k for two seats to watch UCSD, ACCIDENTAL, USD, etc. Every year it is the same thing, like get some good opponents. Stop with this rinky dinky shite year in and year out. I see the big names going to other MGC schools so it is possible to make it happen. It is getting harder and harder to keep forking out this kind of money with how expensive everything is and the price of entertainment is getting too high. I think I am just in a bad mood today after my call with attorneys this AM. Those guys always F up my day. FYI: I will most likely being saying the same things next year after I renew. 🤬🤬

Gonzaga will be great. But yeah, the rest are meh.
