I was hooping at noon yesterday in Balboa Park with my boys when a gaggle of SDSU players showed up on the center court. Didn't recognize a few of the guys. But definitely recognized Miles Byrd and Micah Parrish, now a Buckeye. Also in the game was Jeremiah "Bear" Cherry, who recently signed with UNLV. Byrd looked good. As usual, he was all over the court, blocking shots, gathering up loose balls, snagging rebounds, etc. He was also shooting and making lots of threes. He still has a funky side-spin release, but they were going in at a nice clip. That is all. Carry on. unlvrebels.com/news/2023/11/10/mens-basketball-jeremiah-bear-cherry-james-evans-pape-n-diaye-all-sign-with-the-runnin-rebels.aspx

That place has some stories to tell. Could have done without the Parrish mention, he seemed to have burned his SDSU stay to the point that we no longer need to ever talk about him again (actually took minutes from Bryd and Waters last year!) Go Aztecs!

I honestly think you can relax on the Micah Parrish hate.. 99 percent of us have taken note that both he and Butler actually graduated which changes the dynamic quite a bit.

No Hate, it's just that he popped off as he left and really didn't need too. He just seemed unhappy here so, Good Bye and Good Luck. He was given plenty of support and opportunities to improve and was not very successful and decided to chase the $$$ (basically sold out) Next Man Up! Go Aztecs!

Muni gym, now you're talking Old School stuff! That place has some stories to tell. Muni Gym rocks. Love playing there. And beware The Bear. That dude has a physique fitting his name. He's gonna be a load to play against this upcoming season. Couldn't tell if he actually had skills or just another dude to occupy space in the paint.

On his way out Butler didn't post tone-deaf Tweets, including accusing Aztec fans of not donating to NIL enough. BIG difference between the two.

I find it weird how some “adults” think that it’s okay to send negative, inflammatory, trashy messages to these guys on social media and in turn get all offended when they get a negative response back.
You got the social media response that you deserved, but in doing so, you make Aztec fans as a whole look bad.

I find it weird that players at a high D1 level spend time on social media getting butt hurt about what random people post, especially given some of their tone deaf comments.

You got the social media response that you deserved, but in doing so, you make Aztec fans as a whole look bad. sadly some of the outcasts from this board, are the biggest perps for abuse of our players and former players. they believe that their new Twitter identities will provide them with the anonymity to release their angst and displeasure. little do they realize the more $#!+ they talk the more recognizable they become. Some of the biggest fools from this board run mouths on twitter like they are experts and speak for all of us. I'm talking guys who have been banned by the admins here for their toxic waste. people need to take their passions and move on to something more healthy for them.

Unfortunately, his Did couldn't have done more to make the Butler family look bad if he'd tried.

Graduating has nothing to do with the heat Parrish is getting. He was responding to morons trashing him on X & saying he's only chasing the money. He was exceptionally thankful and appreciative of MESA and donors at the banquet. He's a good kid. I put zero weight on a kid responding to moron "fans" when judging character.
