I see people mentioning OSU/Wazzu going to a P4 conference all the time and I just ask them "why?" They were left behind for a reason. They are a MWC/WAC school if not for their more the 100 year stint with the PAC. The B12 is their only hope and if the B12 looks west again it will be SDSU taken first. I think UNLV would be second. It's a stinging ego thing. Aren't they the only modern day former P5 schools who were lefy abandoned by their coherts? I would hope they are being led with people who have more sense than be led be their emotions.

Sets the table for the PAC 2 to take the top 6 MW schools. OSU/Wazzu both have 7 games on the table for 2025 (if they play each other twice). So getting 4 more shouldn't be too difficult without paying the MWC a bunch of money. They will want a couple of gimmies at home anyway. Have to wonder if they are trying to show that the MWC has been taking advantage of their situation to help reduce whatever "poaching" or "exit" fees they're due. Would help solidify their case if 5 of 6 MWC schools were to confirm that claim.

As of today the PAC 2 has not renewed the full-blown partnership between the MWC & PAC conferences didn’t materialize before the Sunday deadline. Some sources say the PAC schools are looking for a P4/5 scheduling agreement.

Sure. That’s where my mind went on Sunday, but I’m being told that whatever comes next could take some time to put together." This make sense as the CW is airing both the PAC and ACC football.

Wait for Calford. Drop Tulane and Memphis for now, and Boise if we can find another TX school.

If you want people that need to take the conference seriously athletically to take the conference seriously you have to include Boise.

Sets the table for the PAC 2 to take the top 6 MW schools. My guess is the reason this did not happen was the MWC was talking about taking everyone once TV contract ends next year and the PAC2 only wanted a few. Less connection with them next year is better for us moving the a version of the PAC with less baggage.

They might be weighing a short jaunt down to Fresno or up to Boise vs cross country trips for their Oly sports that those schools tend to value more than most. Especially Cal with their money problems.

If you want people that need to take the conference seriously athletically to take the conference seriously you have to include Boise. However, if the PAC2 thinks there is a chance one or both of Calford were to come back, you cannot include Boise or Fresno. I guess I shoulda scrolled down.
