It’s hard to really even care deeply about the sport anymore. Essentially we will just have a mostly new team year to year. Not fun at all. We definitely can't get real excited about a team, until the dust settles. Sucks. |

What I'd like to know is there any provision in NIL such as tampering in Pro Sports? I don't think there is but there certainly should be. If you're in the portal any college should be allowed to contact you but if not they shouldn't for sure at least directly. They all have handlers, parents and advisors surrounding them so that would be the work around, but Butler signed so quick after he entered this is a concern. My hope is that Kentucky isn't using us as their Triple AAA ball club. I guess Butler could have recommended him and of course I have heard nothing that he is going there, but this was my first thought. The Atlanta Falcons right now are in big trouble with the NFL for just this same thing with regard to the quick signing of Kirk Cousins. Of course Cousins has agents in the same way that college players would so the timing is important. Yeah, no tampering, and make them sign a years (plural) deal. |

Man since Chris Acker took the job at Long Beach our HC in waiting isnt able to keep the roster together. There is no head coaching in waiting. |

Believe that Bryd and his family are close to Coach Dave .
it also seemed as though Bryd was trending up as the season was ending . Saunders on the other hand was closer to being a reserve then a true starter . He seems to prefer being an outside shooter then being a true PF - He was an incredibly good FT 95% but rarely drove for baskets where he might get FT's or even second chance points .
If SDSU is going to need more rebounding then Compton might be a better fit - especially when SDSU might need more rebounding as the 5 might not be that solid on defense -and the new 5 JCJ is also an outside Have not been to practices but initially there were articles that MG might also be a decent 3 point shooter
do hope Dutcher can add some additional players that can help the team -
Unfortunately this is the system that the new rules are providing - NIL Money .... and movement as often as a player sees fit

This one stings. He was going to be a big piece of the puzzle next year. He has a lot of upside if he would commit to using his strength in the paint.

Not my normal language, but I'll join the group of WTF's being posted. Not sure how much longer I'll be able to follow college sports any more. I never thought that might include the Aztecs. I'm really feeling bad about all of this right now.

So for those of you who ask "would you leave your job for a better paying job" -- absolutely. But I'd give my employer more notice than 36 hours before a major deadline that would f*** my team over if I can't be replaced. The portal closes for entering, but once in the portal you can sign even after the deadline. |

correct a player has to Enter the Portal by May 1 but does not have to choose a school until Summer if they want to enroll and practice with their new team or by fall if they want to wait for Fall Classes to start Fall Practices
Q for those who can verify the rules - Can a player agree to choose a new school say Kentucky but if Kentucky adds additional players can the a player decide to switch to a different school . Think that happened last year as some schools over recruit players . Did Keshad do that last season select a school then change to Arizona

Elijah might as well be 6'2"... he plays incredibly SOFT. Ya, that's my biggest gripe of his game. I can take him being a stretch power forward who shoots the mid and three, but he averaged 2.8 rebounds. 6'8 225 should be averaging way more boards than 2.8. He did better last year with 3.6 reb/game but was still out rebounded by Waters and Parish. Wherever he lands, he needs to get tougher and remember that "board man get paid." |
