Why are the Aztecs not pursuing Great Osobor? Seems like a very good fit to me.....

a school may pursue as hard as they can but if a player has predetermined they want a P6 school then he is going to investigate those schools first and he knows that it is very likely that he knows what his former coach is like to play for

Touko Tainamo. I want him. He’ll get at least 700k in nil If that's the case how did he end up at Wyoming? Looks like he's from Finland, wonder if he's on an international student visa and can't make NIL. Regardless, size, versatility, shooting, and a veteran.

Touko Tainamo. I want him. Looks good on paper, haven't seen film, here is the Touko Tainamo story per Wyoming MBB.com "...Tainamo, a 6-9, 220-pound forward from Helsinki, Finland spent three seasons at Denver. He ranks third in career rebounding at 630 and 14th in career scoring at 1,094 points. He was an Honorable Mention All-Summit League selection last season. He led the Pioneers to the Summit League Championship game.
...As a junior, Tainamo added 15.2 points per game and 7.7 rebounds. He shot 46.7 percent from the field and scored 20 or more points in 11 games. He had eight games of 10 or more rebounds. He recorded 35 three-pointers on the season and was 118-of-162 from the free throw line shooting 72.8 percent.
...A member of the national team in Finland representing the country at the U18 European Championships in 2019. In 2021, he was captain of the U20 squad. Also represented his country at the 2023 FISU World University Games in China..."

$2,000,000 NIL deal for Osobor is serious money, good for him. In the first year of NIL, the NCAA reports that $917,000,000 has been for college sports’ name, image and likeness and football and men’s basketball still claim the throne for the number of deals and average compensation, and social media remains the most popular way to get that NIL money. It looks like twice as much will be spent this year. I am not sure spending billions of dollars against a selected few college athletes is good for college athletics overall.

The schools will eventually put a stop to this or at least put a lid on it. Of course they'll say it's "for the good of the Student-Athletes"(whatever that means nowadays).
Those school presidents must just HATE seeing that much money going to kids that won't probably even finish their schooling there, instead of being donated to the school itself. That's just that much less money they'll get their slimy hands on too.

I am curious what the current revenue share model looks like, and how it effects the G5 school's vs the P5s who have the most lucrative TV contracts.

Lobos with another addition Have they used up all their scholarships or are they still holding one for their former 5 ? "Former 5"? Nelly Junior Joseph is back. If you're referring to their 4, Toppin, he's definitely gone. Has said so. He's either staying in the draft or getting $1M-ish in NIL at Texas.
