Lobos are the defending MW T champs and very likely could be rated as one of the best teams in the MW

More than reloading, they're retaining. There had been a lot of Lobo worry that Toppin and Dent might leave for NIL$. But their core guys all stayed so far. UNM has bettered its roster with the addition of two formidable players: 6'6" John Tonje from Missouri and 6'3"CJ Noland from North Texas. With these two acquisitions, UNM is poised to be a force in the Mountain West Conference. John switched to Wisconsin after committing to New Mexico. This NIL stuff is such crap.

John switched to Wisconsin after committing to New Mexico. This NIL stuff is such crap. Wow. Big loss for New Mexico. Tonje should be a beast next year (his sixth!). BTW, it used to be taboo to yell at the kids, who after all were just teenage college students trying their hardest. Now the kids (ahem...adults) are paid to play. They are professionals earning big money. So I suppose there should be no shame in booing, yelling at them, and calling them bums when they play poorly. Right?

You buy a ticket and you can be an asshole if you want to. I'm sure other fans really enjoy when people sitting around them do that.

Seeing so many P5 kids transferring to Mid-Majors, I'm wondering whether this wave of good Mid-Major kids transferring to P5 schools maybe isn't as deadly for our-level programs as I had originally anticipated. Yes, the best kids from our side of the tracks will probably go to their side of the tracks for money and exposure.
But if your coaching staff can accurately assess potential and then develop that potential, maybe we end up with a lot of 4 and 5 star end-of-the-bench kids from powerful programs who flourish. And maybe when someone decides to have a NIL Cap or some kind of regulations come down from somewhere, the damages to us little guys won't end up being permanent.

guess you can add Elijah Saunders to the list of those leaving
When you go over the list above there are more non P6 guys heading to P6 schools then P6 guys heading to Non P6
In addition Mahaney is off to UCONN

Will there be any positive updates regarding Aztec Basketball? Is there any funding available? I give every year, but we need big donors too. $25 to $240 a person plus gear, and shirts on goes so far.

I wouldn't be surprised if Dent followed him out the door before the end of the day. The Lobo fans are still more shocked than angry. They all kind of thought Toppin might leave after the season but aa May 1st got closer and closer, they figured Toppin and Dent were there for the season.
