that call was weak. i'd take Chad any day of the week, and most importantly so would the Aztecs he played with No way. Dude was/is a ticking time bomb. And his teammates/coaches were/are hugely annoyed by his antics.

The NO EXCEPTIONS clause seems pretty darn clear to me. No CBM on Sunday. It's official now!!! Way to help your team out CBM!!! Right? Maybe if he doesn’t get booted, they win? He’s just not an Aztec type guy. No issues, but he doesn’t seem like any of our other players

Not exactly Phi Beta Kappa stuff today either! Might've been the Yale influence. You never know what kinds of prejudices individuals may carry with them, but when they do, those prejudices are just below the surface. Peel back a layer of onion skin and you'll find it. Maybe CB-M was mad he got turned down from Yale after leaving his Florida Junior College.

That elbow looked both intentional and retaliatory to me. If that happens in every college game, well, I haven't seen every college game, but I also haven't seen many intentional shots like that either. Elbows fly, for sure, but CBM's elbow had nothing to do with the two players going down the court. It was a cheap shot, and he got nailed for it.

From the NY Post: “Lmao yall lame,” Baker-Mazara wrote in a since-deleted post on X from somewhere — perhaps the Tigers’ locker room — at Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena in Washington, adding three laughing emojis at the end.

I watched the clip of his flagrant foul and, yeah, that was a legit Flagrant 2. It was away from the play, and the threw the elbow at the defender to slow him down. Right in front of a ref, no less!
What a jackass. I'm glad he isn't here. We don't need problems like him on the team. A locker room cancer. It's a damned good thing he's gone.

Yeah, this was intentional, unnecessary, and just for the sake of hitting the guy with a hard elbow. Childish.

I’d like to thank Chad for hopefully making it easier for SDSU to make it to the Sweet 16. Took one for his old teammates and coaches who he still likes better than his team. Correct! We actually should thank him for helping Yale move on.

What do you think the call should have been? the foul call wasnt the issue, the ejection for something that happens in every college game was unusual. Players getting slammed with a blatant, egregious elbow off the ball, down the court, way away from any action, every game? You'd be wrong on that assumption. Elbows happen in a game, but not in that manner. It was stupid on his part. No discipline.

that call was weak. i'd take Chad any day of the week, and most importantly so would the Aztecs he played with I can't believe anyone would think this, but the commentator at half time didn't think he should be ejected either. I'm thinking if you want to just run by some guy and throw an elbow into his chest you should be playing Hockey. Then at least the other guy can throw off his gloves and go to town. No way should you stay in the game if you just randomly elbow another player.

He got or gets NIL money right ? Should he pay some back ? If it's Auburn, he most assuredly got LOTS of NIL $. Two years ago they had over $13,000,000 in their NIL coffers, can't even imagine what that number is now. That's for FB and BB. They spend over $15,000,000 in BB expenses. They don't care because they took in more than $20,000,000 in BB revenue. That's what makes a bunch of smart, non-scholarship kids from Yale ($1,500,000 in BB expenses) beating them so damn sweet.

From the Auburn Message Board:
love what Coach Pearl has done for auburn basketball but.....
This was what? The 10th, 12th straight game in which CBM did something really STUPID? He may have been pulled from the game until the next rotation, but the appropriate action was never taken. Without checking, I believe CBM was assessed more technical fouls than the entire rest of the team combined. Weeks ago, he should have been held out of a following game. If a home game, stay in the dorm. If a road game, stay behind in Auburn. That should have gotten a message through. He hurt the seam somewhat on earlier occasions and his actions came to full fruition Friday. His presence on the court would have been worth three more points.
By letting CBM get away with this behavior, Coach Pearl didn't do the player any favors as far as learning limits to his actions and in the long run it cost us a game. Here's hoping both coach and player learned from yesterday's tragedy.
