The dude was fun to watch as Aztec but he failed out. Wasn’t very dedicated to sdsu. Who cares about him now? He’s just another player.

And yet you created a thread just for him...

And yet you created a thread just for him... Yes because he’s mentioned on multiple threads so I wasn’t going to address each one individually.

As a basketball fan I'll cheer for whoever the hell I want. Especially when that player is a good kid and an ex Aztec who didn't leave on bad terms. I hope Chad Baker has a great tournament and excited to see him in a potential rematch.

With all the academic support athletes get he should have never failed out. He really didn’t want to be at sdsu.

FIFY 1 game. He can be great in our game too. As long as it's only a 2-game tournament for Auburn, that means we beat them.

He's a House/ Franklin kind of guy - you hate him if he's on the other team, you love him if he's on yours. I watched them beat Mississippi State Saturday and he got one of their's riled up enough during a loose ball that the kid got a T. CB-M dove on the guy who had the ball and suddenly the guy pushes CB-M off of him almost like a punch. The refs T him up but they never noticed that CB-M had his forearm on the guys neck while he was on top of him. He's a nasty and dirty player who'll do anything to win. But that's why his fans love him.

CBM is one heck of a gamer, one of those dudes that just makes winning plays all over the place on the court. I was upset to see him leave SDSU. He is incredibly talented, and Parrish/Byrd will have their hands full guarding him if we face them.

He probably didn’t want to be here after Dutcher misused him in the tournament which cost us a game against Creighton that we had no business losing.

This year CBM was named to the SEC all tournament team.

the only opinions of CNM that seem relevant are those of Dutcher and his staff -

Yeah that was a horrible decision by Dutch, no sugarcoating it. But I think his academic struggles had nothing to do with that game. Nonsense. The dude was a loose cannon. Got himself T'd up for a completely boneheaded reason. Never listened to a thing his coaches said. Also was lackadaisical on D. A big no-no on Dutcher's squad. That's just not how they roll. Any coach from middle school to the NBA would've benched his @ss in that situation. Add in the fact that CBM couldn't be bothered to go to class or work with his spoon-feeding tutors, and it's no wonder he got himself kicked to the curb. I'm glad he seems to have grown up a little and found himself a home at Auburn. But I don't for a minute disagree with Dutcher's in-game decisions regarding CBM, nor that he was given a bum's rush out of town.

CBM is baller. Was he immature? Yes. If he was so bad why did join the team on the tournament trip to Fort Worth? Did he quit going to class after the Creighton loss? Watching him during the timeouts in the second half with the towel draped over his head I knew he was gone. The players around him kept consoling him. He has that swagger we missed this year.

Byrd has that swagger and a similar style of play. My guess is Byrd goes to class and listens to his coaches.
