CBM is baller. Was he immature? Yes. If he was so bad why did join the team on the tournament trip to Fort Worth? Did he quit going to class after the Creighton loss? Watching him during the timeouts in the second half with the towel draped over his head I knew he was gone. The players around him kept consoling him. He has that swagger we missed this year. Byrd has that swagger and a similar style of play. My guess is Byrd goes to class and listens to his coaches. Similar length, athleticism and swagger. But Byrd appears to be much more coachable and certainly far better skilled on defense than CBM. Conversely, CBM is/was a much better scorer than Byrd.

Chad Mazara has beat up Chuck Norris on multiple occasions and poops golden twinkies. His vertical leap is 57 inches.

Yeah that was a horrible decision by Dutch, no sugarcoating it. But I think his academic struggles had nothing to do with that game. Nonsense. The dude was a loose cannon. Got himself T'd up for a completely boneheaded reason. Never listened to a thing his coaches said. Also was lackadaisical on D. A big no-no on Dutcher's squad. That's just not how they roll. Any coach from middle school to the NBA would've benched his @ss in that situation. Add in the fact that CBM couldn't be bothered to go to class or work with his spoon-feeding tutors, and it's no wonder he got himself kicked to the curb. I'm glad he seems to have grown up a little and found himself a home at Auburn. But I don't for a minute disagree with Dutcher's in-game decisions regarding CBM, nor that he was given a bum's rush out of town. Yeah, and he can thank Dutcher, because it sure looks like that incident motivated him. Some people just need a kick in the butt, and be humbled.

he will mature and will be a pro for a long time. alot of haters in this room, same people that hate on KJ. sometimes people got to leave home to find their way. i daresay playing at SDSU is probably like being coached by your parents.

Dutcher has way too much class then to make his feelings known on CBM or the added attention
CBM was not the best influence on the younger guys at SDSU - on the court antics - at practice and attitude towards school
the very poor academic situation caused a hit on the basketball team's academic record and could have had even worse things
Do Aztec fans rally behind - someone who was not of the best character just because he can score points
Believe there are some folks who attended practices and or traveled with the team that can also attest to CBM 's behaviors on and off the court
Guys can play with an edge but better be able to control it

Dutcher has way too much class then to make his feelings known on CBM or the added attention I heard Dutcher this afternoon on 760 with Darren Smith. When asked about possibly playing against a certain familiar face on UAB in this bracket, Dutcher said, "I'd love to play Chad. Not just because it would be great for us to play Chad, but also because it means we won our first game and get to advance. So, yeah, I'd love to play Chad." Didn't sound like there was any bitterness, disdain or hard feelings on Dutcher's end regarding CBM. Personally, I think it'll be far more interesting when we go against Kashad and his team in the Final Four.

Ignore button needed. Just move on, water under the bridge. GO AZTECS!! If it were only so. Not so easy. Should SDSU and Auburn meet (Jon Wilner is predicting an upset by the Yalies -- smh, Wilner, what a dope) -- all the pundits and announcers will be yapping about the SDSU-CBM connection. Thus, the issue will be unavoidable. If you're thinking to stay sober for a CBM-mention drinking game, think again.

Some kids need longer to mature. Looks like CB-M has grown up and I’m happy for him. I’d like to think that playing for Dutch was a building block in that respect.

Dutcher is way too smart to take the bait on saying what the staff had to put up with Chad on and off the court -
Team comes first to the staff and why be crazy too add to what happened during his stay at SDSU
The team will have its hands full If SDSU has to play a very good and physical team and players If SDSU plays Auburn - who does have a Big that might be a major challenge to Ledee
But for now - UAB

I don't know the NCAA rules well enough, does a flagrant 2 also come with a 1-game suspension?

They just showed the elbow from a different angle, and it was a blatant, winding up elbow. He wasn't even trying to hide it very well. Sheesh.

I don't know the NCAA rules well enough, does a flagrant 2 also come with a 1-game suspension? I'll say no, since I would believe that they would have mentioned that, but not positive.
