Yesterday, our country took a large step towards a Soviet style system, where political rivals are arrested and charged with fictitious crimes. A liberal activist Fulton County judge feels she can enforce federal statutes…..that’s quite an overextension of judicial authority. Of course you communists realize, this will galvanize Trump’s 50+ million supporters while winning over the undecided voters and give Trump the presidency, assuming the soviets don’t execute him. What happens after that when Trump wins? Does he have Biden arrested? It seems kind of cruel, given that Biden is one level above a carrot in terms of mental acuity. Then again, most of you are probably very comfortable with being governed by a carrot. Maybe you communists can protest a Trump victory by rioting in downtown SD and loot some stores which sell My Pillows. Take as much as you can carry, Gov Newsom says it’s ok. Wow…I didn’t realize you were such a wacko. I’ll have to keep that in mind when I read your sports-related posts 🤣 Yeah, that post is completely insane, not to mention utterly intellectually and factually challenged. I'm hoping it was just satire.

I’ll have to keep that in mind when I read your sports-related posts 🤣 When Trump defeated Hillary Clinton, there were riots in LA, Chicago and other cities. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timeline_of_protests_against_Donald_TrumpEvery time a legal action is taken against Trump, his poll numbers actually increase. www.nytimes.com/2023/07/31/us/politics/2024-poll-nyt-siena-trump-republicans.html?smid=url-shareOf course it is my personal opinion, but this is our country’s destiny if the democrats are successful in harnessing or incarcerating Trump out of the election: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electoral_history_of_Vladimir_PutinMost of you liberals may not see it, but our representative republic is in grave jeopardy if the democrats don’t knock off the legal harassing of candidates.

So you don't think our representative republic is in jeopardy when a President refuses to accept the election results and attempts a coup? Really? And you think that after he breaks a boatload of laws he should just get a pass? Wow.

We don't see it because this is about justice and the law, not "election interference." It's a s#!++y argument that doesn't hold up to scrutiny when you consider actual facts.

And you think that after he breaks a boatload of laws he should just get a pass? Wow. Back to the Jan 6th tripe again? The fact that the Capitol Building was so unsecured was an embarrassment to Vodka Nancy and the rest of the politicians who let it happen. If it were Democratic followers the place would have burned to the ground. Allegedly broke. This kind of excessive electoral harassment is an obvious attempt to get Trump out of the Presidential Race and only deepens the political divisions in this nation. Both sides would be best served to save the indictments and impeachment proceedings until after the election. What Trump did as far as questioning the results is no different than what Al Gore or Hillary Clinton did. Did the GOP prosecute those two?

And you can project all you want, but how many government buildings were burned to the ground during the Floyd protests? Zero. Why lie? For the sake of transparency: Due to due process and the rights given under law, there will be no trial before the election. He's not going to win either way, so when he loses, can we proceed with prosecution?

The fact that Trump's own people told him that if they went through with these plans they would all end up in prison? They KNEW what they were doing was illegal, and they told him so. What he did in trying to coerce votes in Georgia (on tape) and in trying to get Pence to reject the official ballots for those 7 states and to accept the fake electors was literally a coup attempt. If Pence had tried it the country would have fallen into civil war. If a Democrat did the exact same things that Trump did you would absolutely not only want him imprisoned you'd want him executed for sedition and treason. Fact. The only reason you are defending Trump is because he has the R next to his name and you like him because, "He sticks it to the libs!" In point of fact he is a serial criminal who put himself above the country.

That still may be illegal. We'll find out.

Trump has always believed he was above the law, and that he deserved whatever he wanted. He was also totally embarrassed about losing to Biden, so he didn't want anyone to know that he really lost. (People in his inner circle have said that.) He was willing to destroy democracy to stay in power. In another era he'd be on death row now. That's not an exaggeration.

That I agree with. It just seems as though he could easily say that he was asking to find the illegal votes.

What are you talking about? The phone call. That's what I'm talking about. The phone call where he threatened the Georgia Secretary of State with prosecution if he didn't find the votes to overturn the results? That's a crime. Nominating fake electors in multiple states? That's a crime. Michigan just indicted a slew of them. Other states will follow. You don't bring a RICO investigation to an indictment phase unless you have the evidence to secure a verdict.
