Since you brought up fascism, I thought I would put a reminder of some of the hallmarks of fascism: Strong, continuous nationalism (Make America Great Again to a tee), contempt for electoral democracy (January 6th), centralism on an infallible leader (Donald himself), power originating from questioning societal realities (Voter fraud, integrity in government, etc), using myths and outrage to promote conspiracy (Tons of things apply here, whether it's election integrity, vaccination mandates or a host of other things.) When you actually look into some details, it's not all that far-fetched. Aside from the jingoistic tone of the Make America Great Again slogan, most of what you wrote above is rubbish. As far as questioning the election, I guess that is only allowed if a democrat candidate like Stacey Abrams, Hillary Clinton or Al Gore who voices the concerns. If Trump tries it, arrest him, charge him with treason, RICO, anti KKK statutes, which on the surface looks absurd. This is a two edged sword, and the Republicans will probably go after Biden for his influence peddling to Ukraine and other political corruption charges. At least with these proceedings there is at least some tangible evidence of Biden lying about his role in his son’s business dealings. It’s a mess, with activist judges, phony charges, political intrigue and a biased media. I doubt any of this will be sorted out any time soon and eventually the Supreme Court will be involved. So much for Build Back Better…kind of a dud of a political slogan, but strangely appropriate for confused Joe.. Ah yes. "Outside of one thing you wrote, everything else is rubbish. (What are you, a 70 year old British woman?) You literally can't go one sentence without lying. How difficult is it to tell the truth? Questioning the election? There are ways to do that legally and ethically. Trump tried to subvert an election with violence. He tried to pressure and threaten a state official with prosecution. Al Gore conceded. Hillary conceded. Stacy Abrams was never a candidate for president. Your tired, regurgitated myths from Fox that you treat as real information are just right-wing propaganda, another hallmark of fascism. Nobody charged anyone with treason. Treason requires a declaration of war to be utilized under the penal code. And no, the RICO statute perfectly applies here. They have over 160 overt acts in furtherance of a conspiracy. Read the indictment and you'll figure that out. I know it's not on the Fox website, but...try. Have you been living in a cave? The Republicans have been going after Biden for months. Fabricated charges, no evidence, no ability to do anything. They literally have no *power* in this, thankfully. Hold hearings, go on Fox, shout into the wind. They want to win the battle on social media, not in a courtroom. How can someone be so mentally broken? |

Trump organized a rally with the sole purpose of stopping the certification of and overturning the election by force. "Fight like hell!" Giuliani telling the crowd it was, "Trial by combat." Trump KNOWING that the crowd was armed, and still sending them down to the Capitol. Trump is talking about arresting his enemies and consolidating power in the Executive Branch if he gets elected again (and only hiring people who are loyal to him and not the Constitution). That's a TOTAL fascist move. Come on. Oh, and to your question before - Trump WAS a Democrat. For several years. He only switched to the Republican Party because the Democrats wouldn't even give him the time of day as a potential candidate. |

Lots of strong opinions here. Little proof, just opinion. If in 2014 Trump came into politics and declared himself a Democrat, would you feel the same? You hypocrites would probably adore him. After all, Trump has said he almost went Dem because most of his friends and constituents were Democrats. Trump is basically a political outsider who jumped the queue and became president. Every career slimebag politician in America is going to resent that, regardless of party affiliation. Those of you who just casually toss around the term fascist, shame on you and your ignorance. Fascists take to the streets, riot, loot and burn down stores (summer of 2020 lest you forget). Fascists aggressively attack their political opponents, because fascists fear elections, and seek to discredit and arrest their political opponents (current day). Fascists use the media as their propaganda machine (the last 60 yeats). Fascists seek to use the education system to indoctrinate the next generation to their sinister ideas (since the 1960’s) The only party right now which vaguely resembles a fascistic point of view are the Democrats. Nope. Like Erik I would have left the party toot sweet (if I hadn't already in the late 90s) if he had been the dem nom. Unlike you, some of us have core values and stick to them. |

I want you to soak in the irony here of just how protected and how much special treatment your idol is getting. - He was given two weeks to surrender. - He was released on bond conditions, only paying 10% of his total bail. - He's allowed to leave the state, to continue his campaign and fundraise off his mugshot while he plays golf at country clubs around the country. - Even when he violates the conditions of said bond, he won't be detained prior to trial. - Fulton County Jail has had seven inmates die in 2023, after 15 died in 2022. Conditions there are deplorable and are often described as living in "squalor." "Four people have died at Rice Street in the past six weeks. The latest, Alexander Hawkins, was a 66-year-old Atlantan who had bounced between incarceration and homelessness for most of his life.
