I thought he played his best game as an Aztec in the championship vs. UCONN.....
He's leveraging his improved play to make NIL money....
Best of luck!
Seems like we'll miss his leadership!

It's a disservice for a player not to declare for the NBA, and entering the portal only gives players more leverage to negotiate NIL with current school/new school... Current state of college hoops.

You're assuming he cares about NIL. Plus, once you're in the portal Dutch has said you're as good as gone. They'll start recruiting to replace you.

Going to see if he can get more money professional vs. NIL? We gave him plenty of opportunities to flourish here. But I guess if a team like Miami is paying their athletes 6 figure checks.. KJ probably sees a place like Miami as a backup plan if he doesn't get drafted? It's just odd because it used to be, get drafted or go play overseas if you wanted money. Now I guess the possibility of transferring out for NIL money is a real threat. Yep

... per Jon Rothstein. Better to know now. Per his previous comments, Dutch seems likely to try and replace him instead of wait to see if he'll come back. Updated: Keshad has also announced the same on his Twitter page. Maybe he wants a few plays run his way, and a whole bunch of NIL $$$

I think we’ll miss his leadership. But his production will be easily replaceable from the portal.

I wouldn't be surprised to see KJ as a Sub Devil next year.

His decision makes a lot of sense.
Got his degree Go play at a program where he is "the guy"; play 30 mins per game, and put up some big stats; get some draft attention If NIL money is there with his new school, that's a bonus His only remaining goal would be to win the National Championship
I will be cheering for Keshad wherever he lands; if he plays SDSU, then I still hope he has a big game but SDSU wins.

Not really unexpected after he was reported to be 50/50 on coming back next year. Good luck to Keshad and hope he gets some good NIL money. Now we have to wait to hear if LeDee is coming back. I get the impression that he wants to play elsewhere, if anything. Overseas is out of the question as is the NBA.

I think we’ll miss his leadership. But his production will be easily replaceable from the portal. Agree. Great guy, good teammate, good defender. But he had an awful lot of games where he was invisible on O. I wish him well, but think we could end up being more dangerous with a bit more O out of that position.

Just 5 years ago he arrived on the Mesa, here's Keshad's commitment video to SDSU, 2018.

Good luck Kashad. Get paid overseas. Join many great Aztecs who made a nice living for themselves.

Don't forget you can also withdraw from the portal and come back to your original school. Does not sound like he will do that but who knows.

He is without question the best dunker in Aztec history, but are we sure he would he have started again next year? I wish him well, regardless! Best SDSU Dunker, Eddie Gordan who could jump out of the gym with his Tomahawk Dunks. Aaron Gordon got his hops from his dad. Dwayne Polee is next.

Now that I've heard something official from him I'll say I hope he finds what he's looking for in this next step in his life. He's been a solid team mate.

I posted a few days after the NC game that KJ was mor elk key to leave than stay… coaches have known this for more than one week. As I posted on Senior night after speaking to KJ'S mother, he was good as gone. "Wherever he goes he will be happy. His friend in Las Vegas (J FRANKLIN) has a mansion in the hills (And plays overseas). You don't accept your jersey in a frame on senior night and be expected to come back the next year. The coaches have known he was leaving for several months.

I can see him wanting to play pro somewhere, but also entering the transfer portal is strange to me. He didnt put up good enough numbers to earn a big NIL deal anywhere. Why play at another college at this point (if that is what he does)?

If he doesn't play overseas and does transfer to another school, why wouldn't "Care" about NIL money. You don't leave a Final 4 team to play for another college and not have NIL in your mind. SDSU players make 2K a month. Billionaire in Miami gives 400K to players. Even If KJ doesn't get a large payout, he'll get more than 2K a month. A Final 4 team couldn't keep him here, but good for him.
