Yeah give UConn credit. They haven't been in a close game, we cut it to 5, had all the momentum, that dude hit a dagger 3 and off they go on a 9-0 run. Game. They seized control when it mattered. Love this team! They vindicated the entire 25 year building of the program. This, 100% |

Must be so goddamn tough to win when you consistently have 4+ star recruits beating down your door. f x x x UCHEAT. . This run is the next progression to get us there. I dislike UConn because of Calhoun and not getting over things like I should. I really wanted to beat UConn to revenge the Kawhi team loss and because I do not like UConn. However, this UConn is not the Calhoun UConn. They are a very good team that may actually be good without resorting to cheating. They out played us and deserved to win. I wish otherwise, but we were outplayed. This Aztec team played with a lot of heart, energy, and emotion. They peaked at a great time. They provided the entire city a great team to root for comprised of outstanding young men. This team will be remembered for decades. Congrats to the players, coaches, and fans for this incredible run. But the right 4-star players. A lot of blue-chippers watched the final four on television this season. We got as far as we did because we had the right human beings. |

I'm gonna blame this loss on the lack of the new balance Kawhi Leonard commercial not being shown. Every game we played in this tournament that commercial came on and I would say to my wife it's good luck, Kawhi is bringing us the good luck. I kept waiting for it this entire game and they never showed it.........

Big fan of the âtwo things can be true at onceâ idea:
We barfed up a huge portion of the first half during which we completely shat the bed,
But otherwise recovered from and made it an extremely close game (5 Pts?) with time to go.
What a hell of a run for these guys. Just unbelievable March/April that will be the best of all time for a long time.

Simply put, this team has heart. They played like they wanted this win, never giving up. Most of us here cannot even imagine the physical and mental drain (wear and tear) on each of these players and coaches to make it this far on a global stage. This Championship game represented their 9th straight game away from home. That's not easy folks. I'm so happy to consider myself an Aztec, and the heart and soul of this team is one of the primary reasons I feel this way.
Correct me if I'm incorrect, but Coach Dutcher comes into this season with an NCAA tournament record of 0-3; now that record stands at 5-4. What does that tell you about this team?

The Aztec just played a great defensive team (kinda like the Aztecs) but they (UConn) just had a better offensive team and made their shots when they needed them. Great Year Aztecs. THANK YOU FOR A GREAT SEASON. Go AZTECS! Pretty much spot on. Our defense carried us all the way up to this championship game. Unfortunately we were too one dimensional along the way and tonight that finally caught up to us. Great season, but I'm sure the players are disappointed with the ending. Since the defense will always be there, can we hire a shooting guru for those who are returning? |

He can't deal with bigger defenders. He struggled against Alabama, Creighton and UConn. He had success against the small FAU defenders. |

Winning a national title is fukcing hard. No team on the West Coast has done so in 26 years. All those good UCLA, Arizona, and Gonzaga teams couldnât do it. Iâm proud we fought till the end and cut it to 5. We gave UConn a better game than any other team in the tournament. They are just a great team and better than us. Wouldâve loved a different result but itâs hard to be sad one bit for this season. Amen.....Our guys fought till the end.... No Shame.....Great ride... So PROUD of our team! |
