So incredibly happy for the players and coaches. I thought this team could make it to the sweet 16, but actually doing it is another matter! Go Aztecs!!!! I believed! I have them in the Sweet 16 vs Alabama. Unfortunately, I also had Purdue and Arizona in the Sweet 16 as well and we all know how that went. |

Just a dominant performance! So happy for the players, coaches and us fans. The Aztecs showed up and showed out on National TV for the entire country to see! Beyond stoked for the program.

Gotta believe and have faith. I am glad you were wrong and I am guilty of having some doubts myself. It's a long season with a lot of ups and downs. Sometimes the process of building up to this kind of performance can be ugly. Many of the criticisms have been on point. At the same time, the team we cheer for was getting better. Now it's one of the most successful groups in our history. The name of the game is to peak at the right time. That's what we're doing. Winning the regular season championship, the Tourney Championship and now having the best game of the season. Perfect formula for success. |

The two teams we played in this Tourney couldn't match our beef. That may not be the true going forward. We're going to have to keep our offense going to compete.

I went on the New Mexico board and was surprised at how complimentary and supportive most of the posters were. They talked about how we're the class of the league and have been for years. How they'd love to have that defensive culture in their program. How they need to emulate us as much as possible. A few rooted for us because they know New Mexico is making more money every game we win.
And then there were the morons who said we were just lucky and they hoped we would lose bad next time out. How we weren't really that good and reminded each other of how they beat us at home and lost at the Pit on Butler's last-second "lucky" shot. And therefor, the Lobos would have been just as able to win those first two games in MM too.
Both boards have people that hate each other's programs. I used to hate their fanbase but it's always been that "sports-hate", not real hate. But after being on their board this season, I've come to know that like all boards, there are the idiots and the basketball fans. And most real fans appreciate good teams. And I think both boards would like to see New Mexico good again because our rivalry was really fun when we were both ranked in the Top 25 and went hard at each other.
Alas, that won't be the case any more after we move on to greener P5 pastures.

If we ever attempt an ally oop pass against a taller center then the recipient of that pass should be Arop. He has solid hands and that 7'4" reach saves overthrows. |

Arop has been the best player for the past 5 games. Dude is an absolute menace. His engine, and ability to dribble, pass, and make baskets around the rim. He also had the block at the three point line, dribbled through 2 guys, and made the pass to get the layup. He's been amazing. We literally need to run our entire offense through him, the ball doesn't stop moving. |

Great win. As the saying goes "Step our game up". Finally, gaining national respect from a media who thought College of Charleston would win. Furman didn't know what hit them. Now beat Alabama or Maryland.

I DVRed it. Just checked the score. Can't wait to watch it. Regular season title, conference tournament title and making the Sweet 16. No Aztec basketball team has done better. I wonder what those dumb pundits are saying now? Why do they even pay those people to be on TV?  |
