We escaped game 1 playing on 3 cylinders . Nerves, Turnovers, Missed 3 s, Missed Bunnies , some defensive lapses ... But we played hard and still won. If we can improve for this game we will beat Furman. Improve from there and the sky is the limit . Go Aztecs !!!!

They got to Orlando Tuesday evening because they were delayed 5-6 hours taking off. The 2nd day of West to East Coast jet lag is the worst. I'm not saying it was all that but it had to have had some effect on somebody. They sure played like it that first 10 minutes. I think they come out way crisper and quicker tomorrow.
If Furman can beat UVA, they can surely beat us, but this game feels less treacherous than the College of Charleston one.

Wasted some time browsing through some previews of the game from a lot of sites online and there are an awful lot of people picking Furman to win or at least cover. Our offensive woes struggles are seen as something that is going to cost us. We do live on the edge a lot because of our frequent offensive droughts, but Furman is not very good defensively so even an average offensive output should put us in a good position to win.

It's understandable that some will pick Furman after watching our offense on display last game. I get it. I say we're over the nerves, and we won't commit those types/amounts of turnovers this game. Our offense can only get better and our D will always be there. So, I'm very hopeful and encouraged. |

Well, America just watched Furman beat what the country considers a better version of SDSU in UVA...an elite defensive team who struggles on offense because it shoots itself in the foot.
Can't blame them for their picks unlike with Charleston when they were talking out of their rear ends
There's a comical take that Matt Bradley might be injured because he was subbed out late not having any clue Dutcher sometimes does that to switch out for defensive purposes. They're the same idiots who claim SDSU doesn't have an alpha based on the stats because Bradley didn't have to be the sole focal point this year

If this game is on the schedule in November we’re favored by 15, it’s because we’re a far better team than Furman. I pick the Aztecs to win and cover by several points.

I believe the earlier start time is a benefit for our Aztecs. The team does not get to sit around thinking about the game. It's get up get into your game routine. Aztecs crusie to victory as their athletic dominance will prevail.

This is a good point, Virginia had an 88% chance of winning. Virginia's strong defense weak offense model has created volatility for them. Looking back the last five years, they lost to #16UMBC in 2018, WON the NCAA tournament in 2019, NCAA did not have a tournament in 2020, lost to #13 Ohio in 2021, lost to #13 Furman in 2023. Furman is pretty solid, but I personally think we take care of business - this is our year to make a run. |
