We can't be cheering disasters, or wishing ill thoughts to other other states like the brain dead do on Foxnews.com. They even cheered the burning up of an entire town (Paradise) in California. Know what? They are to stoopid to know that Paradise was probably 60% trump voters. I have friends (who are great people) in the impact zone of Ian. All of our states have great people..so let's not drop to that level. |

Democrats need to stop allowing Republicans to treat them like doormats. Either break the filibuster and tear the entire system to the ground... or start playing by the same set of rules (or lack of rules). If DJT gets elected again (never underestimate the amount of racist, xenophobic white-trash in this country)... pardons will fly for everyone in his orbit! Including every J6 rioter... and the cycle will repeat and strengthen. How do people like Matt Gaetz, Lauren Boebert and MTG get elected? Now, imagine if there were dozens or hundreds of these types in Congress. uwphoto, you undoubtedly have the correct frame-of-mind for a well-functioning society. Unfortunately, we don't live in a well-functioning society. How long did it take for Lindsey Graham to propose a nationwide abortion ban? What's next for women, will they lose the right to vote as well? Why didn't Clarence Thomas include inter-racial marriage in his Roe opinion? 0% federal income tax for the uber-rich? How long will it take for Republicans to get rid of Social Security? |

Did you notice that Obama lives in Martha's Vineyard and not in a neighborhood dominated by MS-13 thugs, for example?
But because of his, Joe's and other Democrat's immigration policies, somebody else has to live under the immediate threat of MS-13 gangsters, not have adequate police security, have their kids go to atrocious public schools, etc. So much for their pursuit of equity.
Obama obviously believes in the American Dream and Meritocracy where one who works hard and has success also has the right to live in safe neighborhoods, send their kids to good & safe schools that confirm their value systems, have ample police security, etc.
But let's all hate DeSantis and Republicans for wanting what Obama has made real for himself.
