So barring the PAC no longer existing, you honest to god think Fresno is going to the Big 12. Lol Fresno. Yes. And if the PAC ceases to exist, I still think we have a 50/50 chance of being one of the four schools chosen by the Big 12. SDSU's athletics budget in 2022 was $67.3M. Fresno was at $46.5. I suspect that Oregon and Washington have been recalcitrant about agreeing to a GOR any longer than 3 years. The PAC Pukes are finding it difficult to procure a work around that satisfies all others involved. But my view is, that we are STILL better off in an enfeebled PAC, than staying with the Goat Grunts. Neither UW or UO don't have any other better options that the PAC right now, maybe ever. |

I suspect that Oregon and Washington have been recalcitrant about agreeing to a GOR any longer than 3 years. The PAC Pukes are finding it difficult to procure a work around that satisfies all others involved. But my view is, that we are STILL better off in an enfeebled PAC, than staying with the Goat Grunts. They could only do a three year agreement if they were leaving everything as is with their media partners. I don't think Apple or Amazon would make an investment for just a 3 year term. If they did, they would lower the media fees accordingly. If they are going to move the P12 network to streaming, then they are going to have to sign on for a longer term. JMO. As someone else mentioned, networks like to backload these contracts to make them more affordable. The shorter the deal, the worse the money. |

The way the PAC12 is doing business, do we really want to be part of this group? Looks like the way things are going the networks may tell the PAC12 just work with their local stations, were out. Do we want be part of Oregon and Washington being greedy, California and Stanford being snobby? PAC12 would have been nice, but it seems they keep **** things up, I vote go to the BIG12 and get this **** overwith.

And this hand wringing about the demise of the PAC is silly. The BIG 12, as I noted previously, was spoken of the same way when they lost TX and OK. Seems like they found a way to survive and thrive. The PAC will as well. There is a need for a P5 West Coast conference. |
