You believe that and your experts do too. You can’t admit you wrong you are in delusional mode. Frantic question Johnson (as well as others) and you had a hiss fit on him because you can’t back anything up. Play well? Johnson first drive he looked deer headlights. He got sacked close to the end zone. Second drive almond got sacked fumbled the ball and thank god one of the offense players fell on it. If SJSU got the ball that was the ball game. Again you are a clown. Lol. You forgot to add more lol. For you experts.

16 guys in the box based on very consistently predictable play calling. We couldn't pass the ball with Brookshire. WRs were wide open and the times he saw them, he missed them. It makes it easy to stop the rush when you have ZERO respect for our passing game. Heck's play-calling wasn't nearly as bad as the blocking. Nearly every run had some OL whiffing on blocks or not being able to hold them as the RB tried to run by. This is easily their worst game run-blocking since the SJSU game last year. The Spartan D was far more physical than our offense. Yeah, our line was atrocious last night, a sieve almost the whole game. But they also have 2 strikes against them with 8-9-10 guys in the box. Regardless of all the reasons, it was brutal, so brutal watching live in person, The atmosphere was really good, actually great in the first half. They came probably within 10% max of the place being full, and the crowd was into it. A lot of people left at halftime. All in all though a pretty darn good night and experience at the game. Plus the weather was just perfect last night. Warm afternoon - like 85-88, then perfect at night. Coulda worn shorts, wished I did.

Although we have a good kicker a 40 yarder is not a give me. Actually happy we continued being aggressive and scored a TD at the end. How many missed kicks around 40 yarders have we missed at the end of a game as a Aztec fan? Too many. Also I feel like the ref crew made Araiza rekick like 3 times? Or was it just twice? I can remember a punt that he changed into a fg after an offside penalty and a kickoff that he kicked out of the end zone having to be rekicked for some reason which he kicked out of the end zone again. Point is, with a ref crew like we had last night and Araiza pulling triple duty I fear one of these days that will cost us in the late stages for fgs. Araiza’s said that he handles the triple duty by managing reps, well the refs were not helping

I do think the refs added about an hour to the game's length.

a few years ago the Aztecs won the first 5 or 6 games and lost the rest. with the current lot of fb's, it could happen again. our "sleepy seaside community" has a sleepy seaside qb or two or three. might be time for an open tryout for a walk on qb. the first 60 minutes of last night's game were crap. but a win is a win and who checks the win/lost record for scores? gamblers probably.

No creativity on offense. Where's the screens? Oldie Out I just don't think the OC can trust teh QB to do anything. Hard to be creative when you just hope thaey catch the snap. my 77 year old wife could have come up with a better game plan and called a better game. it might have worked with a legitimate qb, tho'.

The same guy screaming "I hate San Diego State" was buying me 805's at the same time. Pregame Aztecs meeting at the bar was fun..Props to "Bay Area" Aztecs for setting it up.

Just want to mention the San Jose fan Crazy George has been at it a along time. I remember this dude coming out with with the San Jose fans in the 80’s when they would fly into the islands to play Hawaii. Also when he came out to San Diego . This dude has been consistently at it a long time. Good for him.

I used to teach my kids who grew hesitant due to overloading to just to pick a guy and road grade him. The worst that could happen is he messed up the wrong guy. But, at least he didn't hesitate himself into an ole or whiff block. Obviously, knowing who to block is the best strategy. I was just talking about when you're not 100% sure. Because that's what was happening.

Both times I've been to Boise, this was my experience. Fans who hate your team but are likable and end up liking you and your friends so it turns into a giant party 😆

Plus, sometimes the accidental double team is the key block 😆 Also, if you go to your spot and the defender isn't there (OLineman went the wrong way), just blow up the other color jersey no matter whom. At your son's level this is huge for his confidence too. Because a mental error when you hit somebody takes almost no toll vs a kid's head than one that is a glaring mistake...a lineman not making contact with anybody on a play.

On San Jose State's field goal attempt with 20 seconds left, the Aztecs should have had a returner standing at the back line of the endzone for a possible return. Press ask this question this week to Hoke as why they did not do this on 50+ yard field goal attempt.

Press ask this question this week to Hoke as why they did not do this on 50+ yard field goal attempt. Just my guess is that we get the ball back at the line of scrimmage with the clock stopped if they miss the field goal. If we try the run the missed kick back the clock will run and no telling where we might end up with the ball. Safer choice probably.

This is one of the all time threads ever. The completely collective dissatisfaction. Everybody was in the same pain. Just got home from the game. Hilarious, genius posts. Been cracking up reading through the 21 pages. By the way, just like Carson … there were no Aztec fans. I mean none. I saw less than 10 fans with Aztec gear on with a crowd of almost 18,000. Never seen that before. Truly pathetic fan base … present company excluded, of course. Sat down at the 40yard line three rows up amd there were 20 fans just in the first four rows in our section. After the game there were at least two hundred by the end zone where the players came to… my guess is there were 300-400 in attendance… When the cheerleaders tried to cheer left-San right-Jose, we covered them with Diego… Jose fans were laughing…

I used Auburn returning the missed field goal for a game winning touchdown to win the Alabama game in 2013 for my comment.
