A 40y FG is not a chip shot. And Araiza, as good as he is, missed a 35-yarder earlier. And the defense was stacked for the run, and no one was expecting that play. Last week Miami went for a field goal instead of trying for a TD and they missed the kick. I like the call. I’m not a fan of playing for the field goal without making a serious attempt at a TD. I wonder what the analytics of it is. im curious why we only get the ballsy play calls in OT. perhaps its because execution is too poor to try at any other time but OT? and yet the Aztecs this year are executing those plays nearly 100 percent of the time after regulation. is it possible our predictable play calling is the result of our offense has been dumbed down for our 1 read and throw QB's? |

And the defense was stacked for the run, and no one was expecting that play. That is exactly what they did in the 2nd overtime against Utah after Utah missed the FG. Played safe, went for the FG and Araiza missed. I'm sure they learned from that and decided to take a shot. |

Johnson starts from now on. If he stumbles it’s Haskell. Brookshire should never see the field again. We’ll maybe if we play UNLV. I agree. I don't know if it's true, but Aaron Taylor said Hoke stated that Brookshire is his QB. Our defense saved him from his ineptitude and Hoke's decision. I'm surprised our defense survived being on the field for so long tonight. We had to steal this win. That shouldn't have been. |

I listened on the radio. Any ideas on why we couldn't run? I was at the game, SJSU has some horses in the line, but in reality they were run stunting with a single safety because they didn’t believe we. Oils throw the ball… which was correct… In the stadium you could see the guys running open and not seen or missed so badly. As the game went on the Spartans really started th play the run hard, covered with man and the Single high. |

Hoke is never going to throw anybody under the bus, it would have been a lowbrow move to say anything like he's starting Johnson over Brookshire just minutes after a game like that. I'm sure he will be starting Johnson after they look at the tapes tomorrow, if not there's more wrong then just poor play calling (blackmail, compromising photos or tapes, bookies, mental issues, PTST......) |

That fumble was not Brookshire’s fault. Lineman knocked ball out of his hand. It was… At the game and the play happened right in front of us, Jordan clearly pulled early and struggled to get the ball from center which caused the fumble. |

Nice win for our Aztecs.
Johnson is the closest thing we have to a playmaker at QB….he needs to start as long as he stays healthy.
