This team reminds me a lot of the 2018 team. We started 6-1 (having beaten Arizona State) and were ranked #19. But ended up 7-6, losing 5 of our last 6 as the team was exposed at... yup QB (Agnew).

Really glad we won but don't understand why we just didn't have Ariza kick the chip shot field goal ?

Only time I have felt like this was when I was driving on the freeway in a snowstorm in Colorado and lost control and my car spun and somehow after a spin or two (I really don't know how many times I spun) but the car ended up staying on the road, hit nothing and I was facing forward and I just drove away. Not sure how it happened but I was fine and nothing bad happened. |

Wow. Despite an incomponent offense aka passing game, we won. 100 yards in Spartan penalties helped. Bravo to the defense and Matt!

A 40y FG is not a chip shot. And Araiza, as good as he is, missed a 35-yarder earlier. And the defense was stacked for the run, and no one was expecting that play. |

10 Obvious Points:
1. Ugliest game I’ve ever seen
2. Nerve wracking
3. Johnson needs to start
4. SJSU killed by their penalties
5. This won’t work against Boise, Fresno, and Nevada
6. Araiza is the best football player on the team and should be a captain
7. The Defense is legit
8. The DC might be gone soon
9. The QB situation is still a mess. What about the QB from Mississippi?
10. What a win!!!!!!!!!!!!

Proud of the effort tonight....In spite of lathargic (and that's being kind) QB play....
Johnson will be the starter next week....Haskell should begin seeing a series or two, or more as he gets groomed....
The body language amongst the receivers during Jordan's time was one of surrender...He clearly lost his receivers in the 3rd quarter...He looked to be not participating from the bench...Not sure if he'll ever return from the abyss.

And the defense was stacked for the run, and no one was expecting that play. Last week Miami went for a field goal instead of trying for a TD and they missed the kick. I like the call. I’m not a fan of playing for the field goal without making a serious attempt at a TD. I wonder what the analytics of it is. |
