I listened on the radio. Any ideas on why we couldn't run? Bell really seemed tentative when starting his runs (still injured ?) Thats because SJSU dline or lb was in his face at the line of scrimmage or worse. |

This is one of the all time threads ever. The completely collective dissatisfaction. Everybody was in the same pain.
Just got home from the game. Hilarious, genius posts. Been cracking up reading through the 21 pages.
By the way, just like Carson … there were no Aztec fans. I mean none. I saw less than 10 fans with Aztec gear on with a crowd of almost 18,000. Never seen that before. Truly pathetic fan base … present company excluded, of course.

WRs were wide open and the times he saw them, he missed them. It makes it easy to stop the rush when you have ZERO respect for our passing game. Heck's play-calling wasn't nearly as bad as the blocking. Nearly every run had some OL whiffing on blocks or not being able to hold them as the RB tried to run by. This is easily their worst game run-blocking since the SJSU game last year. The Spartan D was far more physical than our offense. |

Really glad we won but don't understand why we just didn't have Ariza kick the chip shot field goal ? Given how badly we throw the ball, I thought the "winning" play call was a bad one. If that ball gets intercepted, we start back from scratch except in the next OT we have to try for 2-points every time. And given our ground game, that certainly wasn't a sure thing. |

I can see the AZTECS taking a hit even with this road win. The bad news is that we deserve to take a hit. The good news is that the game was on CBSS from 10:30pm EST to 2:30am EST so I doubt many voters even saw any of this debacle. They'll just see 6-0 next to our name on Sunday morning when they vote. |

That was an audible read and Mathews made a second , even better , great catch on a well thrown ball in man coverage. Small chance of Int. Contrast that to Nash throwing off balance into double coverage just before.
Saying what would have happened in 3ot is kinda silly because it didn’t.

Although we have a good kicker a 40 yarder is not a give me. Actually happy we continued being aggressive and scored a TD at the end. How many missed kicks around 40 yarders have we missed at the end of a game as a Aztec fan? Too many.
We need to throw more to our TEs. A couple of screens to Daniel B. resulted in positive yards and it seem like a big play was there for the taking. Keep running this play until they stop it. Was surprised our O-line had as much problems as it did in the rushing game tonight.
The lack of discipline by San Jose was ridiculous and this is what lost the game for them.
