Pretty sure Greg Swaim is the guy that reported the PAC 14 was going to happen ( Texas, Texas Tech, Oklahoma and Oklahoma State to the PAC 10). That blew up that deal and the PAC 10 settled for Colorado and Utah.

Think Houston and TCU have told anyone who will listen they would leave the BIG 12 for the PAC - numerous moving pieces
if the PAC were to expand it would be into Texas areas - with the Houston and Dallas / Ft Worth being prime locations
So does the BIG 12 realize that and see where it might be able to pick up good TV Markets

My guess is SDSU, Boise, Memphis and USF. If WVU goes to the ACC then add UNLV.

UNLV seems like such a downgrade, but I guess we need a travel buddy. At least it's a team we should easily handle year in and year out (trying to put a good spin on it).
But, as the saying goes: I'll believe it when I see it.

I read in another article that the next round of Big 12 expansion probably won’t happen until 2024. Which is good for SDSU because we will have a couple of years to show off the new stadium.

SDSU, UNLV, Boise, Memphis My wish. If you’re the Big 12, this does make sense. Assuming you will lose your Power status, your new priority is to make sure you stand unchallenged among the non-power leagues. You’ve already decapitated the AAC. Now, if you steal Boise, Vegas and the Aztecs, you’ve done the same to the MWC.

You have to figure that Memphis and Boise are in. That will leave only two more open spots. My concern is that they decide to stay in the MTN zone and invite CSU.

SDSU, UNLV, Boise, Memphis Im thinking SDSU, Boise, Memphis, smu Zero reason to add SMU when the Big12 already has TCU (a MUCH better program) in the same city.

I actually wrote a blog piece on this today, not an inside information kind of thing but a suggestion of what the Big 12 should do moving forward. Like they're going to listen to me. Basic premise is that adding those first four teams doesn't really do much to offset the loss of Okla and Tex, and to remain anywhere close to relevancy compared to the power conferences, they'll have to offer a different sort of product to the fans and TV networks. That means inventory, games coast to coast from 11am Eastern to 11pm Pacific. Next four additions would be Memphis, Boise, SDSU and UNLV. Yeah, the Rebels, but every league needs a doormat, right? But seriously, having access to the Raiders new stadium and a third destination city (along with San Diego and Orlando) would prove beneficial in ways that CSU can't match. Here's a link if you're super bored.

Obviously Memphis and Boise State would be the next two. I think SDSU is a no brainer. I also think UNLV could turn things around. You can’t do more eastern schools. You need to grow the western front and JNLV has more long term potential than Colorado State.
