they are a great looking mask and hope people wear them or a solid black one
this should not be a Political statement post ...... this is about trying to stop a very deadly COVID pandemic that has killed too many people , injured others and over loaded our medical facilities - ask some of the people who have continued to work to save people . This a Medical issue . wonder how one would feel if some one got injured a and could not get into a hospital
Do not appreciate those who make light or political issues of this - this is quite serious medical situation . Ask a medical worker or anyone who has had a friend or relative that has come down with COVID . Or some one who could not get into a Hospital Bed because they were full
Let's try to cooperate and stop COVID as quickly as we can - we do not live in a bubble - we live together - so we are responsible for what we do and say .
Wear your AZTECS masks with Pride

California Will Require Proof of Vaccine or Negative COVID Test for Indoor Mega Events"People attending indoor mega events in California will be required to show proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test before entering, the state’s health department said Wednesday. "The updated COVID-19 safety guidance, which starts Sept. 20, requires proof of vaccination or a negative test within 72 hours of an indoor event with more than 1,000 people in attendance. The health department’s guidance previously required people to “self-attest” to a vaccination or negative test instead of showing proof." www.nbclosangeles.com/news/coronavirus/california-require-proof-of-vaccination-covid-19-coronavirus-vaccine-indoor-mega-events-masks/2674851/ Not trying to make this political, but Larry Elder who is running to be the next Governor of CAL says he he will do away with the mandate to wear masks when he becomes Governor. Just a fact. It wouldn't change anything for Aztec games as cities and counties would still implement mask, testing and vaccine mandates. Maybe Fresneckians would be able to go maskless to home games, but that's not happening in SD or LA.

1) Masks weren't optional during the MWC hoops tourney in Vegas during the first week of March 2020. I, too, was there. Virtually no one at the time was wearing a mask. Virtually no one had any sense of how bad this pandemic and resulting economic/social turmoil would be. There were hints and growing alarm about the coming upheaval in our lives, but at the time there were certainly no masks. 2) My brother contracted COVID right out of the gate in mid-March 2020. He lives in Sun Valley, ID, and they had a massive outbreak there due to the ski resort. I spoke to him every day during his ordeal. It got so bad, the doctor said it was a coin flip whether he'd pull through or not. He did, but it was definitely touch-and-go for several days. He contracted it from attending a pub-gathering that included a friend who was an emergency room nurse at the local hospital, which, of course, was flooded with COVID patients. She spent three weeks on a ventilator before finally pulling through. 3) I personally know over a dozen people who have died from COVID. 4) A 48-year-old father and his 22-year-old son both died on the same day last week in San Diego. I'm certain their loved ones now wish they'd been vaccinated. Save yourself and your loved ones the anguish, drama and heartbreak. Don't be those people. Get vaccinated. 5) Do yourself and everyone in your community a favor and quit spreading nonsensical gibberish on the Internet. Your perspective and viewpoints are way past their expiration date. They may have been fun and hilarious in the spring of 2020, but trust me, they haven't aged well. 6) Put your tinfoil hat away, put your big boy pants on, grow the f**k up and get vaccinated. What a great way to get people to listen to you Like these knuckleheads listen to anyone other than crackpots anyway. I lost my sense of humor about this a long time ago. Boo-freaking-hoo.

My fully-vacc'd body will be wearing my Aztec gator from last year over my N-95 and then sitting in whatever section is the most empty. Watching the game. Cheering and clapping. Guilt and worry-free. If they end up closing the thing off to spectators, I'll be pissed -- but not at government or health officials. I'll be pissed at the various types of idiot out there who were fully eligible to get the shot, and refused. I'll be pissed at the various types of self-involved morons who went out and did Activities A, B, and C without any thought about anyone other than themselves and their own comfort. They are the reason we are where we are at now with this whole thing. And, yes... Nice mask, OP. Just so you know, the vaccines don't stop people from catching and spreading the disease, ergo the vaccination status of one person has a negligible effect on anyone else. For the young and healthy, the risk of a serious adverse reaction from the vaccines likely outweighs any potential benefit. For those who had COVID and recovered they already have natural immunity so the vaccine is redundant at best. Neither of those two groups I mention should get vaccinated. Then you can add those who have a history of issues with vaccines who are told by their docs not to get the jab to the mix. Oh, you can also add those who had their first dose, had a serious reaction and did not get their second dose as well.

Just spoke with a friend of mine who is a surgeon. All elective surgeries are now suspended at both hospitals where he works because both ICU's are full of very sick Covid patients. At both ICU units 100% of the Covid patients are not vaxed. My friend had four cancer surgeries scheduled for this week that now are cancelled. The stupidity of the anti-vaxers is jeopardizing the lives of others. /end rant

Again why bring up Vaccinations/ Masks .... and make this Political-
first this is about Aztec Masks - should be Excited that Aztec Fans will be wearing them
I will respond because you continue to Spread MISINFORMATION and ALTERNATIVE FACTS- not sure where you get your information but can guess
My Brother had Covid - and was told by his Dr to wait 3 months but then Needed to get the Vaccinations and Now the third . I was called by his Doctor when he first was rushed to the Hospital and they said they would need to give him a blood transfusion to save him . My wife 's good friend also got Covid - still no Memory of what happened , No sense of smell or taste . She too has been told she needs to get the Vaccinations . Then go read about the Long Haulers who continue to suffer after recovery and others . Also nurses watching so many die - when things could have been different . Watch News reports from those who did not get the Vaccinations and now have serious Covid Cases - for the most part they say they wish they had gotten the Vaccinations . Listen to Lindsey Graham and others who are thankful they got Vaccinated
We have had friends that have passed away from Covid . Hospitals are on over load with Covid patients and there are people who have other conditions that have a difficult time getting assistance . Then there are the Medical Workers who are over whelmed . We have friends who are nurses who are exhausted or ready to leave the field .
The Vaccinations for the most part try to prevent people from getting seriously ill and have to go to the Hospital . In addition People who do get Vaccinations can come down with Lesser strains of the Virus but for the most part do not get seriously ill . They may also be able to spread Covid . Yes there are small % of exceptions to any of the cases . It also seems very likely that Many if not most will need a third shot .
This is still a very serious Killer of our fellow Americans . It has also taken a toll on those who have survived , those who give patients assistance , and friends and relatives who are trying to help them . So IMO we need to all do what is necessary to prevent the spread of this very serious Pandemic .
Yes people should consult with their Dr about the Vaccination and if they firmly are told by their Dr - not to then it is their decision . Again take a look at the % of those who have had reactions and the MILLIONS who have received the vaccinations and only had minor or little or NO Reaction . This should be Medical Decision Not Political as some are making it -
Had hoped this would have stayed on the Great AZTEC Masks but feel compelled to respond to the Misinformation about Vaccinations and deterring those who are trying to stop this Deadly Situation
Do hope The Aztecs can safely play in front of thousands of Aztec fans wearing their masks . Would be great if we could stop the Spread so we can also have thousands of Fans at Indoor Sports but do think we will need to work together to make it happen

First bold type: That's why you keep wearing a mask and avoid crowds. 2nd " ": Do as your doctor tells you. 3rd " ": Few and far between, but it's a nice scare-tactic if you are bent on keeping those who would benefit from the shot. Of course, you also forgot another category, those who can't yet get the shot, either because they are too young, have a condition, or haven't been able to break away from, e.g., work. You also put those people at increased risk by screwing around and playing a fool. Assuming you are one of those otherwise-eligible and have lacked the balls or common sense to get in there and take your medicine, just stay home and stop getting people very sick or worse -- and have extended society not being able to function.

Quite frankly, they should close off hospitals to unvaccinated people. You had your chance, live with your decision. Then we can call out this guy:

They are a bit ahead of us in vac status but used the same protocols. Still they are seeing a spike in new COVID cases similar to what they saw before the vaccines were released. The COVID vaccines are not effective in stopping the spread of the disease, they seem to give more protection as to how serious a case you get however, though high risk people are still dying despite their vaccination status. This isn't a political statement, this is a statement of fact.

Quite frankly, they should close off hospitals to unvaccinated people. You had your chance, live with your decision. Then we can call out this guy: Hey, how about not treating those who chose to ride a motorcycle? Drink sodas, no treatment for you. Decide to go into the ocean, why should I pay for lifeguards to support that risky behavior? You snow ski, why should I provide for the ski patrol and subsidize your treatment should you get hurt. Play football, how much risk in that that the public is forced to subsidize? I could go on and on with other examples which shows how dumb the point you are trying to make is. Again, vaccination status of one person has no effect on someone else. You can still catch and pass on the disease. And there are many good reasons for some not to get the jab.

Prime candidate for dumbest post of 2021. Especially from a 130. None of your thoughtful examples are overwhelming our health systems across the country and denying treatment to non-covid serious health issues, or to the very few people who got the vaccine and got very sick and need hospitalization.

Sorry, the dumbest post was the one that advocated denial of care to those who, for one reason or another, are not vaccinated for COVID. I am sure I can't convince you how stupid that point is so I won't bother. Again, being vaccinated or not matters none to anyone else. Vaccinated people do contract and spread the COVID virus. That is a scientific fact, one that I would think would most would understand. As I said, look at the data from Israel who are a bit ahead of us while using the same vaccine protocols. Again, tell me where I am inaccurate on this point rather than simply sling insults because the latter tends to make you look like a fool.

For your youngsters there was a HS Social Studies teacher, Ron Jones, in Palo Alto who did an experiment in 1967 called "The Third Wave" in his class. Y'all should do a search for that and see what it was all about.
