Secondly, I wanted to know more about your beliefs in the Bill of Rights (that include the Freedom of the Press and Freedom of Speech, among others). If you are for them, then you should understand that your or my opinion on the quality of Newsmax, OSN or FOX reporting, while obviously subjective, should bring no direct or indirect Government pressure against their ability to provide their reporting. Freedom of speech has obvious limitations. You're aware that the previous president himself tried to censor Fox News, right? Even going as far as to get the AG involved to pressure them into a retraction on a story. There's a stark difference between actively spreading conspiracy theories and propaganda like OAN does and actual news. |

This whole thread is hilarious as it's just the perfect example of the continuous outrage cycle that's happening on the right at the moment. Let me post a topic preemptively complaining about the left being mean about our guy dying for the sole purpose of getting the response I want even though I'm the one that initiated it otherwise there would be no trolling and outrage! Similar to the obsession with the Dr. Seuss books right now that are being blamed on the left even though the government had nothing to do with it, it was a decision by the Seuss estate and it's 6 books no one even thinks about within the Seuss catalog but somehow it's government overreach and cancel culture.
What will next week's outrage be that is blamed on the left that people on the left don't really care about?

A large percentage of the bill goes towards direct aid to people, small business owners and local governments. It will help cut child poverty drastically. Extension of the PEBT program which targets free meals for children through the end of the pandemic. 350 billion dollars for states, cities, tribal governments and territories. (20% of the bill covered thus far) 30 billion dollars to rental assistance for the homeless, mortgage aid and home ownership benefits. So no, the bill doesn't "mostly" consist of whatever you're trying to blame Democrats for. Meanwhile, not a single GOP Senate member voted to help...anyone. Because they don't care about people of color (the most affected by the pandemic), or the poor. |
