Buckley and Ronald Reagan must be rolling over in their graves right now - their party has been turned into a bad joke. People like this need to be run out on a rail. The Republican party is like the Nazi party was. At this point, they don't care about the rule of law. In a recent poll (taken after the capital attack), 70% of Republicans approve of Trump's job during his presidency. About 30% of the country are rabid Trump fans, who would be happy to see anyone who is standing in Trump's way jailed, or murdered by an angry mob. That's Fascism folks. 30% of this country is Fascist, as far as I'm concerned. Frankly it's disturbing. |

So many of his former employees and former cabinet members told us so. General Kelley's quote that trump was the "single most flawed person he has ever met" We all knew it would end badly. I mean look at the posts on this forum from 2015 and 2016. Everything we predicted....happened. I know I lost a case of beer to Aztecwin, because I bet he wouldn't make the full 4 years. I just had no idea that there would be this level of sycophants and enablers to protect such an incompetent person this way.... and they would be willing to sacrifice America for it. Everything we talk about and mention, went on deaf ears. If you look at the posts of the last 3 days, they are still justifying this dangerous person. I think they really know how bad things became, but since they were all in from the beginning...they just can't get out. Maybe the embarrassment is just too much. So perhaps (to make them feel better) we should hold out an olive branch to Alometer and psdthor, maybe we should tell them it's ok and they really can come to the annual Poli Board party. The musician can even play at the party, as long as it's not country. John gets a pass, he was always invited! |

Mike Pence was literally a minute from likely being assassinated. Not according to the Secret Service. He was cleared from a room one minute before rioters got there but Secret Service said he was secure the entire time. The initial call to clear the room was 14 minutes earlier and Pence delayed for 13 minutes because his well armed Secret Service detail told him he was safe. The Capitol riot is a serious event. It shouldn't be downplayed, but it also shouldn't be sensationalized like this. Mike Pence was not "literally a minute from likely being assassinated". |
